Casey Schmitt SS | SF
Giants' Casey Schmitt: Swats first career grand slam
Schmitt went 1-for-3 with a grand slam and a walk in Friday's 6-2 win over the Dodgers.
Schmitt gave the Giants all the offense they needed with his first career grand slam in the third inning off Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Schmitt has hit safely in four straight games, going 6-for-15 with two homers and seven RBI in that span. He's getting a run of time at third base in the absence of Matt Chapman (hand), whose return is not imminent. For the season, Schmitt is slashing .231/.333/.369 with two homers, 10 RBI, five runs scored and no stolen bases over 76 plate appearances.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Diamondbacks' Josh Naylor: Clubs homer in win
Naylor went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Friday's 5-1 win over the Padres.
Naylor tied the game with a solo shot in the second inning, and he contributed a sacrifice fly during the Diamondbacks' rally in the fifth. He has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 11-for-25 (.440) with two homers and 10 RBI in that span. The first baseman continues to be a steady hitter in the heart of Arizona's lineup, posting a .302/.356/.478 slash line, nine homers, 47 RBI, 34 runs scored and nine stolen bases across 67 games this season.

Alec Burleson LF | STL
Cardinals' Alec Burleson: Hot start to June
Burleson went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's 3-2 loss to Milwaukee.
Burleson continued his hot start to June, as he now has four multi-hit games to begin the month. Across his last 38 at-bats, the lefty-hitting slugger is batting .368 with one homer, two doubles, four RBI and six runs scored. Burleson regularly sits against southpaws -- he's taken just 24 at-bats versus left-handers this year -- but he should continue to serve as St. Louis' primary designated hitter against right-handed pitching.

Nate Lowe 1B | BOS
Nationals' Nathaniel Lowe: Knocks in two runs
Lowe went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Friday's 11-9 loss to Miami.
Lowe drove in a run on a single in the seventh frame before recording another RBI in the eighth on a groundout. The 29-year-old first baseman has logged at least one hit in six of his last seven games, and over that span he has gone 8-for-25 (.320) with one home run and four RBI.

Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Strong start to June continues
Aranda went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Friday's 7-5 win over the Mets.
The first baseman clobbered his first long ball of the month, snapping a 16-game homerless skid entering Friday. Aranda is off to a strong start in June, hitting .333 (12-for-36) with a double, six RBI, four walks and six runs scored through 11 outings. Aranda has produced multiple hits in four of those contests.

Ryan Noda 1B | BAL
White Sox's Ryan Noda: Claimed by South Siders
The White Sox claimed Noda off waivers and optioned him to Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.
Noda was designated for assignment by the Red Sox on Monday in order to make room on the 40-man roster for Roman Anthony. Noda has spent the entire 2025 season in Triple-A, and across 51 games between Salt Lake and Worcester he is slashing .204/.404/.375 with four steals, seven home runs and 21 RBI across 208 plate appearances.

Endy Rodriguez C | PIT
Pirates' Endy Rodriguez: Shifted to 60-day IL
The Pirates transferred Rodriguez (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Friday.
The move makes room on the Pirates' 40-man roster for Michael Darrell-Hicks, who was claimed off waivers from the Angels and optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis. Rodriguez landed on the 10-day injured list June 7 due to right elbow inflammation, and his move to the 60-day IL means he'll be out of major-league action until at least early August. With Rodriguez and Joey Bart (concussion) both sidelined, Henry Davis will continue to operate as the Pirates' top catcher while Brett Sullivan serves as the backup.

Coby Mayo 3B | BAL
Orioles' Coby Mayo: Resting Friday
Mayo isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Angels, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.
After going 0-for-5 with a walk in Baltimore's last series against Detroit, Mayo will take a seat to begin the Orioles' three-game set with the Halos. His absence will put Ryan O'Hearn at first base while Adley Rutschman works as the DH and Maverick Handley starts behind the plate.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
Brewers' Andrew Vaughn: Going to Brewers
The Brewers have acquired Vaughn from the White Sox on Friday in exchange for right-hander Aaron Civale, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
Vaughn was demoted to Triple-A Charlotte last month after slashing only .189/.218/.314 with five home runs across 193 plate appearances. The third overall pick in the 2019 First-Year Player Draft has been a disappointment at the big-league level, slashing .248/.303/.407 over parts of five seasons. In MIlwaukee, Vaughn will be behind Rhys Hoskins at first base and Christian Yelich at designated hitter, so he'll likely go to Triple-A Nashville in hopes of finding his swing, but his results at Charlotte thus far (.211/.328/.368 in 67 plate appearances) haven't been pretty. The 27-year-old is making $5.85 million in 2025 and has another year of team control next season.
