Guerrero went 1-for-3 with one walk and a solo homer in Friday's 4-2 win over the Yankees.

Guerrero opened Friday's scoring in the sixth inning, when he took Tim Hill deep to left-center field for a solo home run. It was just the second home run of the season for Guerrero, though he's tied for seventh in the American League in walks with 15 and tied for 12th in the AL in hits with 27. He has a .779 OPS with 10 runs scored and 11 RBI in 114 plate appearances so far this season.

Caglianone made his first career start in the outfield in right field Thursday for Double-A Northwest Arkansas, MLB.com reports. He's hitting .284/.356/.500 with four home runs in 18 games.

Kansas City has had very little production from their outfield this season, so this could get Caglianone to the majors faster if he's able to hold his own with his glove. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft is primarily a first baseman and hadn't previously played the outfield in the minors or college.

Bauers will start at first base and bat fifth in Thursday's game against the Giants.

Bauers made the Brewers' Opening Day roster after attending spring training on a minor-league deal, but after making 77 starts in 117 games for Milwaukee in 2024, the 29-year-old has had his playing time scaled back considerably in 2025. He'll be making just his sixth start through the Brewers' first 26 games of the season Thursday, as Milwaukee has leaned much more heavily on Rhys Hoskins at first base and Christian Yelich at designated hitter to cut off Bauers' main paths to playing time. Bauers has produced well in his limited opportunities thus far, popping two home runs and stealing a base while posting a .939 OPS through his first 29 plate appearances.

Tellez is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Boston.

It's southpaw Garrett Crochet on the bump for the Red Sox, so the left-handed-hitting Tellez will begin the contest on the bench. Donovan Solano is starting at first base and batting sixth for the Mariners in Thursday's series finale.

Mervis went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's loss to the Reds.

The first baseman gave Miami an early lead when he took Brady Singer deep in the first inning, but it was all the offense the team would manage in a 5-2 loss. Mervis hasn't had a multi-hit performance since April 9, leaving him with a .233 batting average on the season, but his power has been as advertised -- he's belted seven homers in 19 games, giving him a .617 SLG.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and two RBI in Wednesday's 5-1 win over Cleveland.

Goldschmidt has now hit safely in eight straight games, going 14-for-31 (.452) with a 1.030 OPS in that span. The veteran first baseman has gotten off to a blazing start with the Yankees, slashing .383/.433/.489 with a home run, 12 runs scored, nine RBI and a stolen base through his first 104 plate appearances.

Casas went 1-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Wednesday's 8-5 loss to Seattle.

Casas repeated the same line he had Tuesday. He'd gone 14 games without a home run before going deep the last two days. The two homers are a hopeful sign that the first baseman is set to emerge from a slump that has him hitting .171 with a .570 OPS through 91 plate appearances.

Kurtz went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in Wednesday's win over Texas.

Making his major-league debut, Kurtz delivered a two-out RBI single to drive in the third run of the Athletics' four-run first frame. The 2024 No. 4 overall pick has a fairly clear pathway to reps at first base in the majors, as Tyler Soderstrom moved to left field to accommodate for the arrival of Kurtz on Wednesday. Kurtz slashed .321/.385/.655 with seven home runs, seven doubles and 24 RBI over 97 plate appearances with Triple-A Las Vegas this year, and his power profile makes him an intriguing add in most mixed fantasy leagues for teams needing some pop.

Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Toronto.

Walker got the Astros on the board in the second inning, when he took Bowden Francis deep to left-center field for a solo homer. Walker seems to have a turned a corner as of late, and over his last five games he's gone 7-for-19 with four runs scored, two home runs and four RBI.

Double-A Amarillo reinstated Melendez (ankle) from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Melendez missed the tail end of the 2024 season due to ankle tendinitis, but it's unclear if it was the same injury or a different one that caused him to begin the current season on the IL. The 25-year-old first baseman spent all of last season with Amarillo, slashing .240/.313/.440 with 23 home runs and three stolen bases over 448 plate appearances.
