White Sox second baseman Gordon Beckham (wrist) will attempt to swing a bat Wednesday, MLB.com reports. If he cannot do it without pain, Beckham may land on the disabled list. 

The second baseman missed a second straight start Tuesday after he aggravated the surgically-repaired left wrist. He's batting .325/.347/.428 in 166 at-bats.

"I actually wish I could hit him one through nine, but they won't let me do that," manager Bo Porter joked, per MLB.com. "He's going to hit one or two. It all depends on who else is in the lineup. A lot of time it has to do with the other eight guys as to where he'll hit."
