Torres went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored during Thursday's 5-0 win over the Twins.

After enduring a 5-for-36 (.138) slump from Apr. 29 to May 11, Torres has gone 6-for-16 (.375) and has scored four runs during his last four games. On Thursday, he clubbed a pair of doubles off Joe Ryan to bring his season total to six through 187 plate appearances.

The Angels activated Rengifo (illness) from the 10-day injured list Thursday.

Rengifo missed the last week and a half with a viral illness which resulted in painful blisters on his feet. He's recovered now, though, and should be back in the lineup when the Angels return to action Friday in Texas against the Rangers. The super utility player is slashing .330/.378/.462 with two home runs and nine stolen bases over 28 contests this season.

Aranda went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Aranda was in the lineup for the first time this season since being activated from the injured list Tuesday. He started at second base and served as the cleanup hitter, bumping Amed Rosario from the starting lineup. Aranda will likely have to continue to hit well to maintain playing time, as the Rays have a crowded infield that resulted in Rosario and Richie Palacios competing for plate appearances prior to Aranda's activation.

Semien went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Guardians.

Semien's fifth-inning blast was ultimately all the run support Jon Gray needed to carry the Rangers to a win. Through 15 games in May, Semien is 21-for-68 (.309) with three homers, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored. The second baseman has just one stolen base on the year after reaching double digits in each of the previous eight full-length seasons, but the rest of his numbers are strong. Semien is at a .276/.320/.464 slash line with eight homers, 31 RBI, 33 runs scored, 10 doubles and a triple in 206 plate appearances on the year.

Torres went 1-for-3 with a walk, one stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Twins.

Torres' steal was his first since April 13. The second baseman has had a modest May, batting .205 (9-for-44) with two home runs and four RBI. That's a little worse than his .216 average for the season, and he's added a poor .574 OPS with four steals, two home runs, 10 RBI, 19 runs scored and four doubles through 183 plate appearances. While Torres has struggled, he remains the Yankees' near-everyday starter at the keystone.

Grissom is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Rays.

Grissom had started each of the previous eight contests and nine of 10 games since returning from the injured list, but he'll begin Wednesday's game on the bench as the Red Sox square off against Taj Bradley and the Rays. The 23-year-old has gotten off to a slow start, going just 5-for-37 with a 7:0 K:BB. David Hamilton will draw a start at second base Wednesday.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said Tuesday that Lowe (oblique) will rejoin the team in Tampa Bay and will resume swinging the bat before heading back out on a minor-league rehab assignment in short order, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Cash's comments came after Lowe was pulled off his assignment with Durham when he experienced renewed soreness in his right oblique during his fourth rehab game Sunday. Lowe visited a spine surgeon Tuesday for further consultation on his injury, with Cash noting that further imaging showed the second baseman was "heading in the right direction" with his recovery. Cash said that Lowe may still have to manage some pain moving forward, but the 29-year-old at least appears to have steered clear of a major setback. If he's able to return to Durham and resume playing in games by this weekend, Lowe could be ready to come off the 10-day injured list at some point next week.

Polanco (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Polanco will take a seat for the second day in a row while he manages a tight right hamstring. The Mariners are viewing him as day-to-day, but a trip to the injured list could become more realistic if Polanco is still not available to start coming out of Thursday's team off day.

Gimenez went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Rangers.

Gimenez contributed an RBI single in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the ninth. He's hit safely in three straight games after going 0-for-15 over the previous four contests. The second baseman is up to a .255/.318/.357 slash line with six steals, two home runs, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored, eight doubles and a triple over 40 contests. While his power is slightly down this year, the rest of his offense is roughly in line with where he was at in 2023.

Lopez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

With the White Sox playing a day game following Tuesday's doubleheader and with a lefty (Patrick Corbin) on the hill for Washington, the lefty-hitting Lopez will get the afternoon off. Zach Remillard checks in for Lopez at second base.
