  • Jorge Mateo SS | ATL

Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Logs steal Sunday

Mateo went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

Mateo has racked up five steals while going 6-for-23 (.261) over his last eight games. The infielder is up to 10 thefts on the year, putting him roughly on pace to challenge for a third straight 30-steal campaign. He's slashing .247/.302/.464 with three home runs, nine RBI, 18 runs scored, 10 doubles and a triple over 108 plate appearances, though he's seen a starting role at second base for most of May.

  • Cavan Biggio RF | HOU

Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Slugs second homer

Biggio went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Sunday's 14-11 loss to Detroit.

Biggio's home run Sunday was his first since the season opener way back on March 28. The 29-year-old has been in and out of the lineup this season due to subpar performance, batting .208 with two home runs, nine RBI and 12 runs scored in 38 games. Sunday's showing was a step in the right direction, but Biggio will need to further prove himself to earn consistent playing time at second base over Davis Schneider.

  • Kyren Paris SS | LAA

    Angels' Kyren Paris: Sitting Sunday

Paris is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Paris started in the first two games of the series, going 1-for-6 with one run and one walk. Luis Rengifo will start at second base for Sunday's series finale, while Luis Guillorme mans third base.

  • Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM

Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Leaves game with hamstring injury

Polanco left Sunday's game against the Nationals due to right hamstring tightness.

It's unclear when Polanco sustained the injury, but Josh Rojas came in at third base in the bottom of the sixth inning while Dylan Moore shifted to second base. Polanco missed seven games in May due to a right hamstring issue, and he is set to have an MRI on Monday, per Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM. Before leaving Sunday's game, Polanco went 1-for-2 with an RBI on an infielder's choice in the second inning.

  • Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT

Rays' Brandon Lowe: Receiving rest Sunday

Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lowe will get a maintenance day in the series finale after going 1-for-16 at the plate while starting in five games since being reinstated from the 10-day injured list Monday. Amed Rosario will spell him at second base.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Royals' Adam Frazier: Filling in for injured Massey

Frazier will start at second base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Rays.

Frazier will draw a second straight start at the keystone and looks poised to see most of the starts at the position after the Royals placed Michael Massey (back) on the 10-day injured list Sunday. The Royals will likely turn to Garrett Hampson or Nick Loftin at second base over the lefty-hitting Frazier when Kansas City opposes left-handed starters.

  • Nick Loftin 1B | KC

Royals' Nick Loftin: Summoned from Triple-A

The Royals recalled Loftin from Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.

He'll take the 26-man active roster spot of infielder Michael Massey (back), who was placed on the 10-day injured list. Between the majors and Triple-A level, Loftin has seen time at four different defensive spots (first base, second base third base and left field), so he'll provide Kansas City with some versatility off the bench while he's up with the big club. Most of his starts will likely come versus left-handed pitching.

  • Zach Remillard 2B | CHW

White Sox's Zach Remillard: Starting Sunday

Remillard will start at shortstop and bat eighth for Sunday's series finale against Baltimore.

Remillard will get the start Sunday while Paul DeJong rests. Since returning to the majors May 8, Remillard has gone 6-for-20 with one RBI and five walks.

  • Royals' Michael Massey: Shelved with back sprain

The Royals placed Massey on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a low back ligament sprain.

The transaction is retroactive to Saturday, so he'll be eligible to rejoin the 26-man active roster beginning June 4. Kansas City called up infielder Nick Loftin from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move, but Adam Frazier will pick up his second straight start at the keystone Sunday and should serve as the Royals' primary second baseman while Massey is on the mend from the injury.

  • Colt Keith 3B | DET

Tigers' Colt Keith: Held out against lefty

Keith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

The lefty-hitting Keith will take a seat for the series finale while southpaw Yusei Kikuchi takes the hill for Toronto. Andy Ibanez will fill in for Keith at the keystone.
