Hernandez batted leadoff and went 0-for-5 with a run scored in Tuesday's 9-4 win over Atlanta.

Hernandez, who opened the season as Boston's leadoff hitter, returned to the role that last two games. Trevor Story had been leading off, but a recent slump moved him down the order to sixth. Hernandez is in a prolonged season-opening slump and is batting .168 with a high-water mark of .200 on April 29. He's hitless in eight at-bats with a walk in the two games since returning to the top of the order.

Brujan went 0-for-3 with a strikeout Tuesday against the Angels.

Brujan was recalled prior to Tuesday's game with Manuel Margot (hamstring) day-to-day. Brujan started in right field and hit eighth, though he later played third base and showcased the versatility that could help him pick up regular at-bats in the short term. He's spent the majority of his season with Triple-A Durham but is now hitless in six at-bats with the Rays.

Rosario went 3-for-4 in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the White Sox.

Rosario recorded three singles for a second straight game, but unfortunately the three batters right behind him went a combined 0-for-10 in this contest. The 26-year-old has lifted his slash line to .240/.295/.279, but he's still without a home run through 112 plate appearances. He's added a stolen base, seven RBI and 12 runs scored. With Andres Gimenez holding down the shortstop spot, Rosario has moved into a starting role in left field of late.

Arraez cleared COVID-19 protocols Tuesday but has yet to return to the active roster, Megan Ryan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Arraez has been out since testing positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, but he's apparently beaten the virus rather quickly. He'll remain inactive for at least one more day but seemingly has a chance to return Wednesday.

Ibanez will sit Tuesday against the Royals.

Ibanez sits after starting four straight games and eight of the last nine. Brad Miller will get the start at third base.

Brujan was recalled by the Rays on Tuesday and will bat eighth and play right field against the Angels, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Brujan has spent the bulk of this season with Triple-A Durham, spending just two days on the big-league roster. He's gone 0-for-3 at the major-league level but has hit .300/.400/.467 with six steals and as many walks as strikeouts in 16 Triple-A games. He can play all around the diamond and could fill in at multiple spots if he's allowed to stick around, but for now he'll cover for Manuel Margot (hamstring) in the outfield. Calvin Faucher was optioned to clear space on the roster.

Andrus will sit for the second half of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Tigers due to a knot in his shin, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Andrus was involved in an outfield collision with Chad Pinder in the Athletics' 6-0 loss in Game 1, though both players remained in the contest. Manager Mark Kotsay noted that the shin injury Andrus picked up in the first game is to the opposite shin he had surgically repaired in September, so Andrus doesn't look to be dealing with anything significant. In Andrus' absence for Game 2, Kevin Smith will shift to shortstop.

Biggio (illness) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

Biggio, who has resided on the COVID-19 injured list since testing positive for the virus April 25, was expected to start his rehab assignment last week, but the Blue Jays opted to hold him back for a few more days to regain conditioning. The 27-year-old now appears healthy again and will look to get some at-bats in at Buffalo, but the Blue Jays likely aren't in any rush to activate him from the IL. Before being shut down, Biggio was slashing .043/.214/.043 over 28 plate appearances and had lost hold of the everyday role at second base to Santiago Espinal.

Kemp went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Tigers on Monday.

Kemp's third-inning blast off Michael Pineda was the veteran's first homer of the season and opened the scoring on the night. Perhaps the long ball will serve to reignite Kemp's bat, as he entered Monday stuck in a 1-for-19 funk that had encompassed his prior six games and led to a 45-point drop in batting average.

Rosario went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Monday's 12-9 extra-innings win over the White Sox.

All three of Rosario's hits were singles. This was his first multi-hit game since April 22, which is an encouraging sign for the 26-year-old as he looks to maintain an everyday role in the lineup. The strong play of Andres Gimenez lately has forced Rosario into left field, where he'll likely compete with Oscar Mercado and Steven Kwan for two places on manager Terry Francona's lineup card. Rosario owns a .220/.278/.260 slash line with seven RBI, 12 runs scored, two doubles and a stolen base through 108 plate appearances. He's yet to hit a home run after going yard 11 times last year.
