    The 24-year-old delivered his first multi-RBI performance of the season by going 2-for-4 with RISP on Saturday. Torres was off to a slow start in 2021, but he's now riding a modest five-game hit streak and is 8-for-21 with three doubles, a walk, five RBI and two runs during that stretch.

    The Red Sox haven't specified the nature of Hernandez's injury, but he's apparently banged up following Thursday's game. Alex Verdugo is starting in center field while Franchy Cordero gets the nod in left field Saturday.

    Hernandez has gone hitless with three strikeouts in his last eight at-bats and will be out of the lineup for a second straight contest. Alex Verdugo will shift to center field while Franchy Cordero takes over in left.

    Rosario isn't starting Saturday's game against the White Sox.

    Biggio is not in the lineup Friday against the Braves.

    The 26-year-old started the past seven games, including the last three in right field, but he'll head to the bench Friday after going 6-for-25 with nine strikeouts during that stretch. Teoscar Hernandez (illness) was activated from the COVID-19 injured list and is starting in right field, while Santiago Espinal is covering the hot corner.

    Arroyo (hand) is batting leadoff and playing second base Friday against the Rangers, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports

    The infielder missed a few games after being hit by a pitch on April 25, but he made a pinch-hit appearance Thursday and now returns to the starting lineup. Arroyo, hitting .296 in 54 at-bats, has enjoyed a surprising amount of playing time, with expected second baseman Enrique Hernandez starting most games in center field.

    White Sox's Danny Mendick: Sent back down

    Mendick was returned to the alternate site after Thursday's doubleheader against Detroit.

    Mendick came up to serve as the team's 27th man in the doubleheader. He didn't appear in either game but has gone 6-for-21 with two RBI and two runs scored this season.
