Manager David Bell said India (hamstring) isn't expected to play Friday against the Dodgers but could be back in the lineup as early as Saturday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Bell didn't offer up any specifics but said the initial reports are encouraging after India left Thursday's game with a hamstring injury. It wouldn't be a major surprise if the 25-year-old ended up missing a couple days instead of just Friday, but it's still good news the injury appears to be only a minor issue. Brandon Drury is the likely candidate to work at second base during his absence.

Drury hit a solo home run in his only at-bat in Thursday's loss to the Dodgers.

In the fifth inning, Drury came on as a pinch runner for Jonathan India, who departed the contest with a hamstring injury. Drury stuck around and produced a big hit for the Reds, going deep in the seventh to tie the game 3-3. The homer was the second this season for the veteran, who slugged his other long ball on Opening Day. Three of his four hits so far have gone for extra bases.

Merrifield went 1-for-5 with a RBI and a stolen base in a 4-2 loss Thursday against Detroit.

Merrifield tied the game 2-2 with an RBI single in the fourth inning and stole second before being stranded. It was his third consecutive game with at least one hit and a stolen base. The right fielder also had a critical outfield assist in the sixth, throwing out Austin Meadows at the plate and, temporarily, keeping the score tied. He has now hit leadoff and started in right field every game this season.

Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Padres on Thursday.

Albies' long ball was virtually meaningless in the overall context of the game -- it came in the ninth inning with the Braves down by 12 runs -- but it all counts the same in fantasy. The homer was the second in three contests for the star second baseman and extended his modest hitting streak to four games. After starting the season with just one hit in his first 12 at-bats, Albies has gone 6-for-16 over the four-game span.

India pulled up after beating out an infield single in the fifth inning. Trainers immediately visited him, and he left the game quickly thereafter. It's not yet clear whether India will require a stint on the injured list, though he may be in line for some missed time. Brandon Drury replaced him at second base.

Lowe registered his third two-hit game and his third home run of the season during Thursday's contest. His two-run blast came off Athletics starter Cole Irvin in the seventh inning with the Rays trailing 6-1. After seven games, Lowe is on pace to match his career-high 39-homer, 99-RBI campaign from a year ago.

Lux isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Lux started in each of the first five games of the season and went 6-for-17 with a homer, a double, five RBI, four runs and two walks. However, he'll get a breather as Max Muncy shifts to the keystone while Hanser Alberto starts at third base.

Hoerner is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

He'll retreat to the bench for the first time after five consecutive starts to open the season. Jonathan Villar will fill in at shortstop for Hoerner, who has gone 4-for-17 with a home run and a stolen base through his five starts.

Brewers president of baseball operations David Stearns said Urias (quadriceps) is unlikely to begin a minor-league rehab assignment this weekend, though the 24-year-old could get "controlled at-bats" at the team's spring training facility in Arizona, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Stearns added that Urias remains in the ballpark of the initial recovery timeline since he was placed on the 10-day injured list April 7, though the Brewers haven't specifically provided a target date for his return. Urias has been able to perform baseball activities in Arizona, so if he's able to get some at-bats against live pitching within the next few days, he could be cleared to head out on a rehab assignment at some point next week. Jace Peterson and Mike Brosseau will continue to work in a platoon at third base for the big club while Urias is sidelined.
