Arias started at third base and went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Royals.

Arias filled in for the injured Jose Ramirez (wrist) and poked his first home run of the season. Imaging on Ramirez's wrist came back negative, per Tim Stebbins of MLB.com, and manager Stephen Vogt said the third baseman could return to action Monday. Once Ramirez is ready, Arias will shift over to second base, a position he shares with Daniel Schneemann.

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Rockies.

The Rays veteran took Ryan Feltner deep in the first inning for his first long ball of the season, slugging it 409 feet to right field. Lowe closed out his opening weekend by going 4-for-13 (.308) at the plate and drawing three consecutive starts, including against the left-handed Kyle Freeland on Opening Day. The 30-year-old entered the season with a career .245/.330/.482 slash line and could be poised for significant power output thanks to the dimensions of George M. Steinbrenner Field, the Rays' current home park.

Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Reds.

Fitzgerald doubled and scored in the sixth inning before swiping third and crossing the plate again in the eighth. The 27-year-old showcased power and speed last season with 15 homers and 17 steals over 341 plate appearances but faded late with a .677 OPS in September. He's opened 2025 as the Giants' everyday second baseman, though he has hit ninth in every game so far.

Chisholm went 3-for-4 with two home runs, five RBI and an additional run scored during Sunday's 12-3 win over the Brewers.

After delivering his first homer of the season during Saturday's 20-9 blowout, Chisholm continued the power display Sunday with two more long balls. The 27-year-old went 0-for-3 with a walk Opening Day but has now reached base six times with six RBI and five runs over the past two contests.

Berti is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Berti made a pair of starts at second base in the Cubs' season-opening series in Tokyo versus the Dodgers on March 18 and 19, but he's since shifted back to a utility role with Nico Hoerner (forearm) completing his recovery from flexor tendon surgery. The Cubs gave Hoerner an off day in Saturday's 4-3 win, which allowed Berti to pick up his lone start of the four-game series in Arizona.

Biggio is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Biggio will head to the bench after he started at first base in the Royals' first two games while going 1-for-5 with a walk. Vinnie Pasquantino has been limited to designated hitter duties thus far while he works his way back from a minor hamstring strain, and once he's cleared to return to his usual post at first base, Biggio could see his opportunities dry up.

Gasper got his first major league hit while going 1-for-3 in Saturday's loss against St. Louis. He went 0-for-18 in 13 games with the Red Sox last season.

Gasper was a surprise starter at DH against a right-handed pitcher, but Twins manager Rocco Baldelli was likely just getting some bench players work early in the season. Gasper looked healthy after suffering a left ankle laceration that required six stitches last week. His start also shows the Twins have confidence in him after he posted a .289/.404/.395 slash line this spring.

Campbell and the Red Sox are deep into talks on a long-term contract extension, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Multiple industry sources have confirmed the talks, including one source who described the deal as "close." Campbell is off to an impressive start to his MLB career, hitting safely in three straight games including his first major-league home run in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers. "He's a hitter that controls the strike zone, makes good swing decisions and drives the ball hard to right-center," manager Alex Cora said. "He's feeling good about himself." Campbell's potential extension follows a recent pattern by the club of locking up young players to long-term deals. Boston inked Garrett Whitlock to a four-year extension in 2021 and Ceddanne Rafaela for eight years in 2024. The team also tried and was unable to reach a long-term agreement with starter Garrett Crochet this spring.

Duran entered to play third base after Josh Smith (quadriceps) was removed in the first inning of Saturday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox. He went 0-for-4.

Smith had been filling in for Josh Jung (neck spasms), who was given the day off. Jung is expected to miss a few days, which could lead to Duran starting at third for Sunday's series finale against Boston, and maybe Monday's game in Cincinnati as well if Smith's quad injury lingers.

Paris went 1-for-2 with a stolen base after entering Saturday's win against the White Sox in the fifth inning for Jo Adell (hip).

Adell grabbed at his left hip after beating out an infield single and was promptly removed from the game. Paris entered and stole second base, though he was left stranded there, and played the rest of the game in center field, where Adell had been stationed. It's unclear if Adell will need to miss more time -- he said after the game that he expects to "be OK," per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register -- but if he does, Paris could log some starts in the outfield in his place.
