Blue Jays' Will Wagner: Three hits in debut
Wagner went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI single and a run scored during Monday's 4-2 win over the Angels.
Wagner wasn't the featured piece of the three-player return package from Houston for Yusei Kikuchi, but he's been outstanding since joining the Blue Jays organization. He logged a 1.116 OPS in 31 plate appearances at Triple-A Buffalo before earning the call up Monday. He remained red-hot despite the making the leap to MLB, logging a double in his first big-league at bat as part of a three-hit day. The left-hander drew the start at second base Monday but could also see action at third base moving forward.
