The Mariners and Rojas avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $3.1 million contract Thursday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Rojas was in his second year of arbitration eligibility. The 29-year-old infielder posted a .589 OPS with the Diamondbacks in 2023 before putting up a .721 OPS following a trade to the Mariners. Rojas looks to be at the top of Seattle's second-base depth chart, although he'll have to hold off others.

Chavis signed a minor-league contract with the Mariners on Thursday and received an invitation to big-league spring training, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.

Chavis elected free agency earlier in the offseason after slashing .242/.281/.341 across 96 plate appearances with Washington last year. He'll compete for a spot on Seattle's bench during spring training.

The Rockies and Rodgers avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $3.2 million contract Thursday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports.

Rodgers was in his second year of arbitration eligibility. The second baseman missed a large chunk of the 2023 season following shoulder surgery, but he finished strong and will be looking to build off that heading into the 2024 campaign.

Garcia signed a one-year contract to avoid arbitration with the Nationals on Thursday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The Nationals have been open about the fact that Garcia is not guaranteed playing time this year, but he won't face stiff competition from Jake Alu, Ildemaro Vargas or Nasim Nunez. Garcia already has 325 MLB games under his belt and won't turn 24 until May, but he has been a replacement-level player for two seasons in a row (0.1 fWAR both years). He hit a career-high nine home runs with a career-high nines steals last year. The main thing Garcia offers is a decent batting average -- he has hit .266 or better in back-to-back seasons.

It was his second year of arbitration eligibility. Urias reportedly had been set to be non-tendered by the Red Sox, but the Mariners traded for him, and he's now in line to open the 2024 season as their starting third baseman.

The Angels and Rengifo (biceps) avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.4 million contract Thursday, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.

It's a sizable raise for Rengifo, who was arbitration-eligible for the second time. The 26-year-old posted a career-high .783 OPS with 16 home runs for the Angels in 2023. Rengifo had surgery in September to repair a biceps tendon but should be at or close to 100 percent for camp.

The Giants and Estrada avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.7 million contract Thursday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Estrada was eligible for salary arbitration for the second time. The 27-year-old infielder has emerged as a quality regular in San Francisco, posting a .727 OPS with 28 homers and 44 steals over the last two seasons. Estrada currently looks pegged to be the team's everyday second baseman, but he offers the versatility to bounce around, if needed.

The Mariners and Haggerty avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $900,000 contract Thursday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.

Haggerty was arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter. The utility player slashed .253/.364/.341 with one home run and 10 stolen bases over 52 games for the Mariners in 2023. Haggerty boasts a career .844 OPS versus lefties and figures to get more starts against southpaws in 2024.

Remillard cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

He is no longer on the 40-man roster but will remain in the organization. Remillard, who turns 30 next month, slashed .252/.295/.320 over 54 games for the White Sox in 2023 while seeing time at five different positions.

Guillorme signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with Atlanta on Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Guillorme was non-tendered by the Mets earlier in the offseason, and he'll stay put in the NL East. The 29-year-old slashed .224/.288/.327 across 120 plate appearances last season, and he'll add depth behind Atlanta's star-studded infield.
