Remillard is starting at second base and batting leadoff Thursday against the Angels.

It's his second straight start at second base and his first appearance atop the White Sox lineup. The 29-year-old boasts a .385/.407/.423 batting line through his first 28 major-league plate appearances and could continue to steal playing time from the struggling Elvis Andrus, though Remillard's lackluster minor-league numbers suggest that he is eventually going to run into serious regression.

Andrus is absent from the lineup again Thursday versus the Angels.

Zach Remillard will cover second base and bat leadoff against the Angels and left-hander Patrick Sandoval. Andrus, who also sat in favor of Remillard on Wednesday, is slashing just .200/.276/.262 across 218 plate appearances this year.

Hernandez went 1-for-3 with three RBI in a loss to the Rockies on Wednesday.

Hernandez notched his first runs batted in of the campaign with a two-run single in the fourth inning and added a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The 25-year-old is up with the Dodgers as a fill-in for utility man Chris Taylor, who is on the injured list with a knee injury. Wednesday was Hernandez's first appearance in a game since he was called up Sunday, and he may see infrequent opportunities while he's with the big club.

Caballero went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Nationals on Wednesday.

The only offense of the day for the Mariners in the 4-1 loss came from the No. 9 spot in the order, underscoring the extent of the team's offensive struggles. Caballero's eighth-inning solo shot marked the rookie's first time leaving the yard since he slugged homers in back-to-back games May 21 and May 22, and he's now hit safely in five of his last six starts.

Altuve went 2-for-3 with three walks, a double, a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 10-7 win over the Cardinals.

Altuve had been out since Saturday due to heel discomfort but showed no ill-effects Wednesday, as he reached base five times, scored twice and drove in three during Houston's comeback win. The veteran second baseman has struggled to stay in the lineup due to multiple injuries, but when available this year he's produced at a high level, slashing .275/.375/.471 with four home runs, 14 RBI and 20 runs scored across 27 games (120 plate appearances).

Bae will start at second base and bat seventh in Thursday's game against the Padres.

Bae was on the bench for two of the Pirates' last four games and is slashing a miserable .150/.232/.167 thus far in June, putting his status as an everyday player on notice. If there's a saving grace for Bae, it's that fellow middle infielder Tucupita Marcano has performed similarly poor in June (.493 OPS), which has resulted in recent call-up Nick Gonzales entering the lineup in place of Marcano for three straight games. Even if Marcano is the odd man out of the three for the time being, Bae could eventually lose reps to Rodolfo Castro at the keystone if another recent call-up in Jared Triolo ends up serving as the primary replacement at third base for the injured Ke'Bryan Hayes (back).

Donovan went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-7 loss to the Astros.

Donovan notched his eighth multi-hit game across 22 June appearances, slashing .310/.408/.452 during that stretch. It's been a mixed bag for Donovan thus far, as he was solid to start the year but hit a rough patch in May. It's encouraging to see him back on track in June, and the 26-year-old should continue getting regular looks at second base, even against left-hander starters.

Lopez (hand) is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Guardians.

Lopez was lifted from Wednesday's contest against Cleveland after being hit in the right hand by a pitch. X-rays came back clean, but it's no surprise he's not in there for this one. Samad Taylor will play second base and Matt Duffy will be at third.

Frazier went 1-for-2 with a solo homer and two RBI in Wednesday's 11-7 loss to the Reds. He also walked twice.

Frazier drew walks in two of his first three at-bats before crushing a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game at 7-7. It was the second baseman's first home run since June 13 against the Blue Jays and he's now 4-for-8 at the plate over his last four games with three RBI, two runs scored and four walks. However, his average still sits .191 in June even following that four-game stretch.

Drury went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 11-5 loss to the White Sox.

Each of Drury's three hits drove in a run Wednesday, including his seventh-inning solo shot. The infielder has been locked in at the plate in June, batting .344 (32-for-93) over 23 games this month. His extended run of production has him up to a .278/.325/.505 slash line with 14 homers, 45 RBI, 35 runs scored, 17 doubles and two triples over 74 contests. He's 0-for-2 on stolen-base attempts this year. Drury appears to have taken over the starting role at second base for the Angels after their recent infield reshuffling following trades for Eduardo Escobar and Mike Moustakas last week.
