  • Zach Remillard 2B | CHW

White Sox's Zach Remillard: Productive in win

Remillard went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 11-5 win over the Angels.

Remillard's playing time dried up once Tim Anderson got back into the lineup. This was Remillard's third multi-hit effort in 10 contests, and he's now 10-for-26 (.385). The utility man also has two steals on three attempts, four RBI and three runs scored. Regular playing time is likely to remain hard to come by, so it's unlikely the 29-year-old will garner much interest in fantasy.

  • Nicky Lopez 3B | CHC

Royals' Nicky Lopez: Has bruised right hand

Lopez was removed from Wednesday's game with a right hand contusion.

Lopez had to be removed from Wednesday's contest after taking a pitch to the hand, and he's now officially listed as day-to-day. It's possible the Royals hold Lopez out of the lineup Thursday, though it will likely depend on how the 28-year-old infielder is feeling. Lopez is slashing .128/.277/.179 since the beginning of June.

Royals' Nicky Lopez: Pulled after HBP

Lopez was removed from Wednesday's game against the Guardians after getting hit by a pitch, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.

The pitch hit Lopez's hand/wrist, and he was replaced at second base by Samad Taylor between innings. The Royals will take a closer look at Lopez and should provide more details relatively soon, but Lopez should be considered day-to-day for the time being.

  • Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI

White Sox's Elvis Andrus: Sitting Wednesday

Andrus isn't in the White Sox's lineup Wednesday against the Angels.

Andrus is just 2-for-18 with one RBI across his last six games, so he'll take a day off Wednesday to regroup. Zach Remillard will fill in at second base and bat eighth.

  • Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL

    Angels' Luis Rengifo: Sitting Wednesday

Rengifo isn't in the Angels' lineup Wednesday against the White Sox, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Rengifo broke his four-game hitless streak with a triple Tuesday, and he'll catch a breather Wednesday against Chicago. While Rengifo rests, Eduardo Escobar will start at third base, Brandon Drury will play second and Mike Moustakas will start at first.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Brewers' Luis Urias: On bench Wednesday

Urias is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Mets.

Brian Anderson will cover third base with Blake Perkins patrolling right field. Urias went 0-for-3 in Tuesday night's loss at New York and is batting just .148/.303/.241 over 19 games (67 plate appearances) in what has been an injury-marred first half of the 2023 season.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting against lefty

Stott is not in the lineup Wednesday versus the Cubs.

Philly will roll out a right-heavy lineup with left-hander Drew Smyly on the bump for Chicago. Josh Harrison is playing second base and batting seventh.

  • Jose Altuve 2B | HOU

Astros' Jose Altuve: Back in lineup Wednesday

Altuve (heel) is leading off and playing second base versus the Cardinals on Wednesday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Altuve makes his return to the lineup after being out since Saturday due to discomfort in his heel. The 33-year-old will be back in his usual spot at the top of the lineup, and Mauricio Dubon will retreat to the bench with Altuve back in action.

  • Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH

Mets' Jeff McNeil: Sits amid slump

McNeil is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Brewers.

Danny Mendick will play second base and bat ninth versus the Brewers and left-hander Wade Miley as McNeil grabs some pine in the midst of a 1-for-21 rut. Tommy Pham is in left field and hitting fifth for the host Mets.

  • Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Three hits, two RBI on Tuesday

Kim went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Tuesday's loss against Pittsburgh.

Kim's been productive recently, going 12-for-32 (.375) with three home runs, nine RBI and a 1.101 OPS over his last eight contests. Overall, he's slashing .258/.348/.400 with eight homers, 35 runs scored, 28 RBI and a career-best 13 stolen bases through 270 plate appearances this season while starting nearly every day at second base.
