  • Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM

Tigers' Andy Ibanez: Goes deep Monday

Ibanez went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, a double, two runs scored and a walk in Monday's win against Atlanta.

Ibanez finally put the Tigers on the board with his solo shot in the seventh inning. He produced three hits in a game for the first time since May 3 but still owns an unsightly .202/.239/.375 slash line. Ibanez has 11 extra-base hits (three home runs) and 12 runs scored through 109 plate appearances.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Takes seat versus southpaw

Stott is absent from the lineup for Monday's contest in Arizona, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Stott will begin this one on the bench as the Diamondbacks start left-hander Tommy Henry. Josh Harrison is getting the start at second base.

  • Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Retreats to bench Monday

Rengifo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Rengifo had started in seven of the Angels' last eight games, but his opportunities may become more sporadic moving forward while the Halos have all their key position players following the recent returns for Anthony Rendon from the injured list and Hunter Renfroe from the paternity list. Because he's capable of playing all three outfield spots in addition to second base, third base and shortstop, Rengifo will at least have multiple avenues to get into the lineup on days that manager Phil Nevin chooses to rest any of his regulars.

  • Romy Gonzalez 2B | BOS

White Sox's Romy Gonzalez: Pair of RBI in return to lineup

Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Sunday against the Marlins.

Gonzalez was back in the lineup after a two-game absence, with Elvis Andrus starting in his place. He delivered a two-RBI double in the sixth inning, only his third hit across 19 at-bats through seven games in June. Gonzalez may find it difficult to earn playing time moving forward so long as Andrus, Tim Anderson and Yoan Moncada remain healthy.

  • Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI

White Sox's Elvis Andrus: Struggling in return from IL

Andrus went 0-for-4 with a strikeout Sunday against the Marlins.

Andrus has started six of eight games since being activated from the injured list. They've come all over the diamond, as he's started three times at second base, once at third base and twice at shortstop. In that same span, Andrus has struggled at the plate, collecting only three hits and one walk across 19 plate appearances with no extra-base hits.

  • Rockies' Harold Castro: On bench against lefty

Castro is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

The lefty-hitting Castro will take a seat for the series opener with Boston bringing a southpaw (James Paxton) to the hill. Rookie Coco Montes -- who went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Padres in his MLB debut -- will pick up a second straight start at the keystone in place of Castro.

  • Bryson Stott 2B | PHI

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Two hits, triple in win

Stott went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-3 victory over the Dodgers.

Stott drove in a pair of runs with a two-out single in the third inning, giving the Phillies a 3-0 lead. He'd later rope his first triple of the season in the seventh. The 25-year-old Stott is now 10-for-28 (.357) with a .919 OPS in his last eight games. He's had a solid sophomore campaign, slashing .292/.336/.403 with five homers, 26 runs scored, 23 RBI and nine steals.

  • Blue Jays' Whit Merrifield: Swipes 17th bag

Merrifield went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Twins.

The veteran continues to enjoy a summer resurgence. Over his last 20 games, Merrifield is slashing .366/.430/.465, and on the season he's now up to 17 steals through 60 contests -- one more than he managed in 139 games last year.

  • Cavan Biggio RF | HOU

Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Launches game-winning homer

Biggio went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a second run scored in Sunday's win over the Twins.

Getting the start at first base and hitting ninth, Biggio took Emilio Pagan deep in the bottom of the eighth inning to complete a comeback from a 6-1 deficit. The 28-year-old utility player has seen his playing time tick up a bit over the last few weeks, and he's responded by batting .294 (10-for-34) with a double, three homers, a steal, seven runs and seven RBI in 39 plate appearances over his last 14 appearances.

  • Joseph Ortiz 2B | MIL

Orioles' Joey Ortiz: Shakes off illness

Ortiz (illness) has started in each of Triple-A Norfolk's last five games, going 8-for-22 with a home run, a triple, two doubles, one walk, three additional runs and three RBI over that span.

Though the Orioles optioned Ortiz to Triple-A on May 26, he didn't make an appearance for Norfolk until nearly two weeks later while he battled an unspecified illness. Since rejoining the lineup June 8, Ortiz has resumed raking at the plate, so he seems to be back to 100 percent or close to it. The 24-year-old should remain the next man up for a call-up in the event the Orioles require another infielder at any point.
