Abraham Toro 3B | OAK
Athletics' Abraham Toro: DFA'd by Oakland
The Athletics designated Toro for assignment Tuesday.
The 27-year-old was acquired from the Brewers during the offseason but has now lost his place on the Athletics' 26-man and 40-man rosters. Toro has played in 94 games and posted a .240/.293/.350 slash line with six homers, four stolen bases, 26 RBI and 34 runs.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Three hits in nightcap
Garcia went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in a 9-4 win over the Guardians in the second game of Monday's doubleheader.
Garcia went hitless in the matinee, which was the fourth time in five contests he had been held without a hit. The infielder bounced back in the nightcap, earning his first three-hit effort since he had four knocks May 21 versus the Tigers. Garcia is now at a .238/.285/.347 slash line with seven home runs, 23 doubles, a career-high 51 RBI, 81 runs scored and 30 stolen bases through 128 contests. He'll continue to split time between second base and third base, though Garcia is not guaranteed an everyday spot in the lineup.

Paul DeJong 3B | KC
Royals' Paul DeJong: Goes yard in nightcap
DeJong went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in a 9-4 win over the Guardians in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader.
DeJong didn't play in the matinee, but he was able to make an impact while starting at third base in the nightcap. The infielder has gone 11-for-32 (.344) with three homers, three doubles and six RBI over his last nine contests. For the season, he has a .238/.288/.450 slash line with 22 homers, 51 RBI, 48 runs scored, 17 doubles and two stolen bases over 120 games between the Royals and the White Sox. DeJong is not an everyday player in Kansas City, but he hasn't been limited to platoon duties since Maikel Garcia occasionally shifts over to cover second base.

Yoan Moncada 3B | CHW
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Starting rehab assignment
Moncada (adductor) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Moncada started his initial rehab assignment in early July but was pulled off after just five games due to general soreness. He's now ready to give it a go again, setting up a potential return from the 60-day injured list in early September if all goes well this time around. Moncada's last game with the White Sox before he suffered an adductor strain came back in early April.

Bryan Ramos 3B | CHW
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Headed back to minors
The White Sox optioned Ramos to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.
He was just recalled Monday but will be sent right back down in order to make room for waiver claim Jacob Amaya. Ramos did not make an appearance during his most recent brief stint in the big leagues.

Josh Rojas 3B | SEA
Mariners' Josh Rojas: Keeps rolling Monday
Rojas went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and a run in a win over the Rays on Monday.
After delivering a two-hit effort that also included a steal as a late addition to Sunday's lineup, Rojas drew another start at the hot corner and kept up the productivity. The 30-year-old's two-bagger was only his second extra-base hit of August, but after a dreadful start to the month, he's now sporting a .269 average and .745 OPS across the 28 plate appearances covering his last eight games.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: XBH barrage in twin bill
Ramirez went 4-for-8 with a walk, four doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in Monday's doubleheader against the Royals.
The Guardians dropped both games of the twin bill, but that was through no fault of Ramirez -- the only other extra-base hit any Cleveland batter managed in either contest was a solo shot by Daniel Schneemann in the nightcap. Ramirez's barrage of two-baggers brought him to 31 doubles on the season, to go with 33 homers and 32 steals. It's the second time in his career he's produced a 30-30-30 campaign, and per Zack Meisel of The Athletic, it's a feat only one other player in Cleveland history (Grady Sizemore in 2008) has accomplished.

Jazz Chisholm 3B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Goes deep in win
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-2 win over the Nationals.
Chisholm has now hit eight of his 21 homers since his Yankees debut on July 28. He seems to be fine after returning from an elbow injury Friday. The 26-year-old has a .982 OPS in 18 games since the trade and needs four more games at third base to qualify there in 2025 leagues where 20 games are needed to qualify at a position.

Bryan Ramos 3B | CHW
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Rejoins big club
The White Sox recalled Ramos from Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
Chicago has been leaning on a combination of Lenyn Sosa (.403 OPS in August) and Miguel Vargas (.420 OPS in August) at third base in recent weeks, but neither player has performed well enough to seize control of an everyday role. Ramos could contend for reps at the hot corner while he's up with Chicago, though he endured similar struggles at the plate during his first taste of the majors back in May. He slashed .196/.208/.239 with a 2.1 percent walk rate and a 16.7 percent strikeout rate in 48 plate appearances for the White Sox before he was optioned to Charlotte on May 30.
