Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Lands on 10-day IL
Pittsburgh placed Hayes on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, retroactive to June 25, with lower-back stiffness.
Jared Triolo has been brought up in a corresponding roster move to help out at third base. This doesn't seem like an overly serious injury for Hayes, who had been held out of the Pirates' lineup since Saturday and thus will be eligible to return to action as early as next Tuesday.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Not starting Wednesday
Muncy isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Wednesday against the Rockies, Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA reports.
After going 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in his return from the injured list Tuesday, Muncy will get another day to rest Wednesday. Yonny Hernandez will take over at third base in Muncy's absence and bat ninth.

Rodolfo Castro 2B | PHI
Pirates' Rodolfo Castro: Getting time at third base
Castro went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Padres.
Castro has fallen into a bench role in recent weeks, though he's now started consecutive games at third base. The Pirates haven't announced an injury to Ke'Bryan Hayes, so it's unlikely that Castro maintains a consistent role. Even when given an opportunity, he's gone through significant struggles and maintained just a .185 average with four RBI and two runs scored across his last 54 at-bats.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Belts 14th homer
Riley went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Twins.
Riley's blast to left-center field off Joe Ryan was one of five Atlanta homers in the team's first 10 plate appearances on the night. The third baseman is enjoying a strong finish to June, slashing .317/.417/.561 over the last 10 games with a 6:5 BB:K, and on the season Riley's up to 14 homers and 40 RBI in 79 contests.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Marlins' Jean Segura: Homers in return
Segura went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 10-1 rout of the Red Sox.
His fifth-inning blast over the Green Monster helped chase Garrett Whitlock from the game. Segura had missed the last 10 contests with a hamstring strain, but the time off seemed to do him some good -- Tuesday's homer was just his second of the season. Despite his encouraging return, the veteran infielder is slashing just .195/.262/.252 on the year in 230 plate appearances.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Nationals' Jeimer Candelario: Posts steal in win
Candelario went 2-for-5 with a double, one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 extra-innings win over the Mariners.
Candelario has hit safely in his last five games, going 8-for-21 (.381) with five extra-base hits and six RBI in that span. His steal Tuesday was his second in June and his third of the year, matching his career high. While the third baseman isn't much of a speed threat, he's enjoying a strong year at the plate. For the season, he's up to a .262/.336/.469 slash line with 10 home runs, 25 doubles, 37 RBI and 39 runs scored through 75 contests.
-
Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Evan Longoria: Goes yard in win
Longoria went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Rays.
Longoria isn't seeing consistent playing time, but he's swatted six of his 11 homers this year over his last 13 games. In that span, he's gone 12-for-39 (.308) with 13 RBI, three doubles and a 6:10 BB:K. The veteran third baseman remains stuck in a part-time role, though he continues to make the most of his opportunities. He's up to a passable .244/.301/.569 slash line across 40 contests this season.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Activated off IL
The Dodgers reinstated Muncy (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Muncy landed on the injured list June 16 with a left hamstring strain and will now return as the Dodgers' primary third baseman. The 32-year-old slugger was slashing .094/.237/.219 through 38 plate appearances in June prior to getting hurt. Muncy's return will send Michael Busch back to Triple-A Oklahoma City as a corresponding move.
-
Michael Busch 3B | CHC
Dodgers' Michael Busch: Optioned to OKC
The Dodgers optioned Busch to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
With Max Muncy (hamstring) returning from the injured list Tuesday, Busch will be pushed off the Dodgers' major-league roster. The 25-year-old infielder slashed just .192/.250/.308 across 28 plate appearances after getting called up June 16, but his .313 average and .968 OPS at the Triple-A level thus far this season suggest Busch could eventually earn another promotion.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Diamondbacks' Emmanuel Rivera: Breather Tuesday
Rivera is not in the starting lineup Tuesday versus the Rays.
Rivera will remain on the bench for the second game in a row and the third time in the last four contests. Evan Longoria will draw another start at third base and bat sixth in the series opener with Tampa Bay. Managers with Rivera on their fantasy team shouldn't yet worry about him falling out of regular playing time, however, considering he's batting .314 with 11 extra-base hits over 140 at-bats with Arizona this season.
