Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Battling sore thumb
Ramirez's absence from the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers is due to right thumb soreness, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
Ramirez originally jammed his thumb approximately 10 days ago, and the issue got worse on a swing Friday. He won't be available Saturday but will be checked out Sunday, though the Guardians have an off day Monday and could elect to keep him on the bench for Sunday's series finale in order to secure three consecutive days of rest for their star hitter.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Slated for MRI
Moncada (hamstring), who isn't starting Saturday against Houston, will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of his injury, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Moncada sustained a right hamstring injury Friday against the Astros, and his MRI should help to determine whether he'll require a trip to the injured list. Manager Tony La Russa is optimistic that the 27-year-old will avoid an IL stint, but Jake Burger and Josh Harrison should see increased playing time at third base if Moncada misses additional time.

Prior to going down, Burger was in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak, during which he collected four home runs, 10 RBI and 10 runs scored. He should have a secure spot in the lineup, particularly with Yoan Moncada battling a hamstring injury.
