Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Shut down with wrist soreness
Jung will be shut down for a couple days with discomfort in his right wrist near the area that he had surgery, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Jonathan Ornelas will fill in for Jung at third base and bat ninth in Friday's game against the Mariners. Jung will head to Arizona to consult with his surgeon Monday, and the team is hoping he will be able to play during a season-ending road trip, which begins Tuesday in Oakland. With Texas out of playoff contention, it wouldn't be surprising if Jung doesn't return for the final week of the season.

Angels' Charles Leblanc: Optioned to Triple-A
The Angels optioned Leblanc to Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
Leblanc will end up as the Angels' roster casualty as Kevin Pillar (thumb) returns from the 10-day injured list. The 28-year-old Leblanc appeared in nine games after being recalled from the minors Sept. 1, going 3-for-15 with two homers, six RBI and five runs scored.

Jace Jung 2B | DET
Tigers' Jace Jung: Taking seat Friday
Jung is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles.
It's the fourth time Jung has been on the bench in the past five games, though two of those contests came against left-handed pitchers. The 23-year-old hasn't helped himself with Detroit making a push for a playoff spot, as he has a .222/.364/.259 slash line through 15 games in September.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Could have cast removed Monday
Riley (hand) will undergo a CT scan Monday to determine whether he can have his cast removed, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Being able to get the cast removed then will give Riley a shot to return at some point during the postseason should Atlanta make a run, although it's not clear how likely his return would be. Riley also revealed Friday that the fracture to his right hand he suffered back in mid-August was to his hamate bone.

Isaac Paredes 3B | CHC
Cubs' Isaac Paredes: Sitting out Friday
Paredes is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals.
Paredes was spiked on the left hand in the third inning of Thursday's win over the Nationals. He stayed in and finished the game, but it's possible he's feeling the after effects and that's why he's absent from Friday's lineup. Patrick Wisdom is filling in at third base for the Cubs.

Jose Tena SS | WAS
Nationals' Jose Tena: Swipes bag, tallies RBI in loss
Tena went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's loss to the Cubs.
Tena drove home James Wood with a two-out single in the top of the third before going on to steal his sixth base of the campaign. The shortstop would then add a leadoff single in the sixth to give him his sixth multi-hit performance this month. Tena has hit safely in 11 of his last 14 games, batting .309 (17-for-55) over that stretch with one homer, five RBI, five runs and five stolen bases.

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Scores four times in rout
Muncy went 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and four runs in Thursday's 20-4 rout of Miami.
Muncy reached five times in the contest on two singles, two walks and a hit-by-pitch. He came around to score in four of those instances, marking the most times he has crossed the plate in a single game this season. Muncy has reached base safely in 13 of his past 21 plate appearances and is batting .467 (7-for-15) with two doubles, a homer, seven runs, seven RBI and four walks over five games during that stretch.

Jazz Chisholm CF | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Homers, swipes bag
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a stolen base Thursday against the Mariners.
Chisholm's third-inning blast brought the Yankees to within one but served as the final runs either team would score on the afternoon. Chisholm later reached when striking out on a wild pitch and followed by swiping his 37th bag of the season. Chisholm has excelled this season splitting time between the Yankees and Marlins, establishing new career highs in games played (140), plate appearances (592), homers (23), RBI (68), runs (72), stolen bases (37) and batting average (.258).
