  • Dodgers' Ryan Fitzgerald: Grabbed on waivers by Dodgers

The Dodgers claimed Fitzgerald off waivers from the Twins on Friday, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports.

Fitzgerald had been booted off the Twins' 40-man roster last week and is now headed to the back-to-back World Series champs. A 31-year-old utility infielder, Fitzgerald slashed .196/.302/.457 with four home runs in 24 games for the Twins and slashed .277/.367/.469 in 59 contests with Triple-A St. Paul. He'll compete for a reserve role in spring training but is likely ticketed for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Played through shoulder injury

Henderson revealed Thursday on WBAL Radio that he played through a shoulder impingement "pretty much for three-quarters of the year" in 2025, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

The shoulder injury had not been previously reported. Henderson admitted that it was probably a factor in his downturn offensively, saying he "wasn't able to hold the plane and my body was adjusting to it, not feeling great, so that didn't really set up me in the right spot to leverage the ball like I normally do." The 24-year-old shortstop saw his wRC+ go from 154 to 120 and home run total from 37 to 17 year-over-year. Henderson contends that he's healthy now, and a big bounce-back season offensively could be on the way.

Twins' Royce Lewis: Gets $2.85 million from Twins

The Twins and Lewis avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $2.85 million contract Thursday, Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Saint Paul reports.

Lewis played in a career-high 106 games in 2025 but regressed offensively, slashing only .237/.283/.388with 13 home runs and 12 stolen bases. The 26-year-old remains locked in as the Twins' everyday third baseman heading into the 2026 campaign.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Contract official for 2026

Jung agreed to a one-year contract with the Rangers on Thursday, avoiding arbitration, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, but Jung was estimated to make about $2.4 million in his first year of arbitration eligibility, according to Spotrac.com. The third baseman played a career-high 131 games last season, but he scuffled to a .251/.294/.390 slash line while hitting just 14 home runs.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

Rangers' Jake Burger: Inks deal for 2026

Burger (wrist) agreed to a one-year contract with the Rangers on Thursday to avoid arbitration, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The contract specifics have yet to be announced, but Burger was projected to make around $3.1 million in his first year of arbitration eligibility, per Spotrac.com. The first baseman had an underwhelming first season with the Rangers in 2025, clubbing just 16 home runs with a .688 OPS in 103 games after totaling 63 long balls over the previous two campaigns, and even earning a brief demotion to Triple-A Round Rock in May. Burger underwent wrist surgery in early September but should be ready for the start of spring training.

  • Tyler Freeman 3B | COL

Rockies' Tyler Freeman: Avoids arbitration with Rockies

The Rockies and Freeman avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Thursday.

The financial particulars of the deal aren't clear, but Freeman will get a raise in his first year of arbitration eligibility. Freeman had a nice first season in Colorado during 2025, slashing .281/.354/.361 with two homers and 18 steals over 110 games. He should play regularly in 2026, possibly bouncing around multiple positions.

  • Edmundo Sosa 3B | PHI

    Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Avoids arbitration

The Phillies and Sosa avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.4 million contract Thursday, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports.

Sosa was in his final year of arbitration eligibility. The utility player has been a useful part of the Phillies' roster, slashing .264/.307/.448 over the past three-and-a-half regular seasons while seeing playing time at five different positions.

  • Zach McKinstry 3B | DET

Tigers' Zach McKinstry: Reaches deal with Tigers

McKinstry agreed to a one-year, $4.2 million contract with the Tigers on Thursday to avoid arbitration, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

McKinstry took a massive step forward at the plate in 2025, finishing the year with a .259/.333/.438 slash line alongside 12 homers, 49 RBI, 68 runs scored and 19 stolen bases across 511 regular-season plate appearances. He doesn't seem to have a clear path to playing time at any one position in 2026, though he should still be able to crack the starting nine with some regularity thanks to his defensive versatility.

  • Alec Bohm 3B | PHI

Phillies' Alec Bohm: Nets $10.2 million from Phillies

The Phillies and Bohm avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $10.2 million contract Thursday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

It's a nice raise for Bohm, who had been eligible for salary arbitration for a final time. The 29-year-old slashed .287/.331/.409 and thumped 11 homers over 120 regular-season contests for the Phillies in 2025. Bohm is slated to hit the free-agent market next winter.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Avoids arbitration at $8.5 million

Henderson agreed to a one-year, $8.5 million contract with the Orioles on Thursday, avoiding arbitration, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

It's a massive raise for Henderson in his first year of arbitration eligibility, which is hardly a surprise given that he's been one of the most productive shortstops in baseball since debuting in 2022. The 24-year-old's production dropped a bit in 2025, however, but he still finished with 17 homers, 30 steals, 68 RBI, 85 runs and a .787 OPS in 154 contests.
