Max Muncy 3B | ATH
Athletics' Max Muncy: Not in Friday's lineup
Muncy is not in the Athletics' starting lineup against the Marlins on Friday.
The Athletics will give the nod at third base to Joshua Kuroda-Grauer, who will bat fifth against Marlins right-hander Tyler Phillips in Friday's series opener. Muncy has reached base safely in each of his last eight games, going 8-for-28 (.286) with one steal, three walks, one home run and four RBI in that span.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Yankees' Ryan McMahon: Back from injured list
The Yankees activated McMahon (illness) from the 10-day injured list Friday.
McMahon has been out since June 21 due to a throat and ear infection. The veteran infielder has slashed .210/.269/.360 with eight homers, 23 RBI, 19 runs scored, three stolen bases and a 15:62 BB:K across 202 trips to the dish this season.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Reds' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Kicking off rehab assignment
Hayes (back) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Dayton on Friday.
Hayes has been sidelined since late May due to a bulging disc in his back, but he's been cleared to resume game action. He will likely require several rehab contests before returning to the Reds, and Hayes faces an uncertain playing time outlook when he is activated with Sal Stewart, Eugenio Suarez and Nathaniel Lowe all healthy.

Colt Keith 3B | DET
Tigers' Colt Keith: Goes deep Thursday
Keith went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Thursday's 10-4 loss to the Rangers.
Keith got only two at-bats before getting pulled for a pinch hitter in the sixth inning, but he still made an impact when he took Nathan Eovaldi deep in the fifth. After going the first 62 games of the year without leaving the yard, the 24-year-old has tallied all six of his long balls across his last 18 contests. During that span, Keith has an .869 OPS, compared to his .678 mark overall.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Belts homer in defeat
Machado went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Dodgers on Thursday.
Machado continues to hit well against his former club -- he now has 27 career homers against the Dodgers, more than he's hit against any MLB team, per AJ Cassavell of MLB.com. The veteran third baseman's two-run blast Thursday gave San Diego an early 2-0 lead, but it wouldn't hold, as Los Angeles stormed back from a 6-0 deficit to take the win. Machado's homer was his third over his past five contests and team-leading 17th on the season. He's batting .302 (13-for-43) over his past 12 games but still sits below the Mendoza Line with a .192 batting average on the campaign.

Santiago Espinal 3B | TEX
Rangers' Santiago Espinal: Inks MiLB deal with Rangers
The Rangers signed Espinal to a minor-league contract Thursday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The Dodgers designated Espinal for assignment June 16 after they got Tommy Edman back from an ankle injury. Espinal slashed .375/.385/.542 with a home run and five RBI across 16 games in his final month of play for the Dodgers (May 13 to June 13).

Nick Gonzales 3B | PIT
Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Three more hits, homer in win
Gonzales went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Phillies.
Gonzales extended Pittsburgh's lead to 3-1 with a two-out, RBI single in the seventh inning before capping the scoring in the ninth with a home run off Kyle Backhus, his fourth homer this season. It's the second straight three-hit game for Gonzales, who's gone 19-for-51 (.372) in his last 14 contests. Overall, he's slashing .305/.360/.387 with 38 RBI, 46 runs scored and four stolen bases across 333 plate appearances this season.

Javier Sanoja 3B | MIA
Marlins' Javier Sanoja: On base three times in shaky effort
Sanoja went 1-for-2 with two walks, a triple and two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.
While his line in the box score looks good, it was a game Sanoja would probably rather forget. He was caught stealing after drawing a walk to lead off the second inning, then committed an error in the fifth that resulted in four unearned runs and Max Meyer's first loss of the season. Sanoja has started the last three games at three different positions (second base, shortstop and third base), and manager Clayton McCullough will likely continue to find ways to get the 23-year-old into the lineup on a regular basis given his .306/.329/.500 slash line since the beginning of June with eight extra-base hits including two homers, two steals, 11 runs and 14 RBI in 25 contests.
