Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Doubles, drives in two runs

Suarez went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's loss to St. Louis.

Suarez gave Arizona an early lead with his two-run single in the first inning. He later doubled and scored a run in the sixth. It was his first game with at least three hits since belting four homers against Atlanta on April 26. Suarez has produced four multi-hit performances over his last 10 games, going 13-for-38 (.342) in the process. He's now slashing .230/.312/.503 with 24 extra-base hits and 41 RBI through 218 plate appearances.

  • Miguel Vargas 3B | CHW

White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Homers in loss

Vargas went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.

Vargas put the White Sox on the board with a solo homer in the fourth inning and then doubled and scored in the sixth. The 25-year-old has been swinging a hot bat lately, tallying five multi-hit efforts over his last 10 games while racking up nine extra-base hits, eight RBI and six runs scored. • Mark Vientos 1B | NYM

Mets' Mark Vientos: Good to go Sunday

Vientos (abdomen) will start at third base and bat second Sunday against the Dodgers.

Vientos didn't start the first two games of the series due to abdominal soreness, but he'll rejoin the starting nine for Sunday's series finale. The 25-year-old has a .266/.324/.344 slash line with one home run, three RBI and seven runs through 20 games in May.

  • Jonah Bride 3B | TEX

Twins' Jonah Bride: Drawing start in series finale

Bride will start at third base and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Royals.

Bride has picked up starts in four of the Twins' last five games, but he still looks to be stuck in a short-side platoon role. Three of those starts have come against left-handed pitching, and his chances of earning playing time versus righties will take even more of a hit once the likes of Matt Wallner (hamstring) and Byron Buxton (concussion) return from the injured list.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | KC

White Sox's Josh Rojas: Hitting bench against lefty

Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Rojas had started each of the last six games while the White Sox opposed right-handed pitchers, but he'll hit the bench Sunday with southpaw Patrick Corbin on the bump for the Rangers. Rojas' move to the bench will open up a spot in the lineup for Vinny Capra, who will start at shortstop.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Getting afternoon off

Hayes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Hayes will be joined on the bench by Bryan Reynolds (torso) as the Pirates give two of their lineup regulars a breather for the day game after a night game. Jared Triolo will fill in for Hayes at third base.

  • Jose Tena DH | WAS

Nationals' Jose Tena: Sitting against another lefty

Tena is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Tena will take a seat for the second day in a row while the Giants send another left-handed starting pitcher to the bump in Robbie Ray. Amed Rosario will get the nod at third base Sunday, and he and Tena will continue to work in a platoon, potentially until Paul DeJong (orbital) returns from the injured list.

  • Marcelo Mayer 2B | BOS

Red Sox's Marcelo Mayer: Fans three times in MLB debut

Mayer went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

The 22-year-old was promoted between games of the twin bill and started at third base in the nightcap, but he struck out in his first three at-bats before grounding into a fielder's choice in the ninth inning. Mayer is the organization's top infield prospect and posted a .265/.342/.465 slash line with nine homers in 43 games with Triple-A Worcester before being promoted, and he should receive plenty of playing time with the Red Sox while Alex Bregman (quadriceps) is sidelined.

  • Alec Bohm 3B | PHI

Phillies' Alec Bohm: Pops solo shot

Bohm went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and three strikeouts in Saturday's 9-6 extra-innings win over the Athletics.

Bohm is up to four homers on the year, three of which he's hit over his last 10 games. In that span, he's gone 13-for-40 (.325) with eight RBI and three doubles as well. The third baseman started slow this year but has a respectable .267/.304/.382 slash line with 20 RBI, 20 runs scored, eight doubles, one triple and one stolen base over 49 contests. His starting job at the hot corner is secure, but he has regularly hit in the bottom half of the order for most of the season.

  • Connor Norby 1B | MIA

Marlins' Connor Norby: Blasts homer in win

Norby went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Angels.

Norby has been steady lately, hitting safely in 15 of his last 17 games. he's gone 21-for-61 (.344) in that span, adding seven extra-base hits and 10 RBI. The infielder has settled into a starting role at third base since returning from a season-opening oblique injury, posting a .288/.331/.450 slash line, three homers, 13 RBI, 17 runs scored and four stolen bases over 31 contests.
