Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Reds' Jeimer Candelario: Getting rare day off
Candelario is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.
Candelario is absent from the starting lineup in what will be his first true day off since April. The 30-year-old is slashing .236/.292/.448 with 16 home runs across 370 plate appearances. Noelvi Marte will play third base and Santiago Espinal will DH.

Jordan Diaz 3B | ATH
Athletics' Jordan Diaz: Enjoying solid year in Vegas
Diaz owns a .281 average and .836 OPS across 272 plate appearances over 66 games with Triple-A Las Vegas this season.
Diaz has spent the entire season with the Aviators, and he no longer holds a spot on the Athletics' 40-man roster after being designated for assignment May 23. However, the 23-year-old, who already boasted two very successful stints with Las Vegas during his minor-league career prior to his current Triple-A tenure, has put together a well-rounded line that includes 24 extra-base hits (11 doubles, one triple, 12 home runs), 46 RBI, 25 walks, 38 runs and a respectable 19.5 percent strikeout rate. Given he was able to occasionally hold his own against big-league pitching in each of the last two seasons (.634 OPS, 22 extra-base hits and 28 RBI across 105 games) and his youth, it wouldn't be out of the question for Diaz to be given another look in Oakland before the end of the season, perhaps as a September promotion.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Urias (neck) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Miami.
Urias was a late scratch from the Orioles' last lineup Sunday versus the Rangers. He might not have started Tuesday even if he were 100 percent, as Urias has been in a platoon of sorts with Jorge Mateo, starting at third base on days Jordan Westburg is at second. On Tuesday, it will be Westburg at the hot corner and Mateo at the keystone.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Marlins' Emmanuel Rivera: On bench Tuesday
Rivera isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.
Rivera will be on the bench for the third time in five games since the All-Star break, with Josh Bell starting at first base and Jake Burger handling the hot corner. Rivera is slashing .214/.303/.253 through 179 plate appearances this season.

Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Set to return Tuesday
Rengifo (wrist) is expected be reinstated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
The switch-hitting utility man has been sidelined since early July due to wrist inflammation, but he recently resumed full baseball activities and is on the cusp of rejoining the active roster. Rengifo has a .315/.358/.442 slash line with six homers and 22 steals through 69 games this season, and he'll be a popular name in trade rumors with the Angels being one of a handful of teams that are clear sellers ahead of next week's deadline.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Belts first homer of season
LeMahieu went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Monday in a 9-1 win against Tampa Bay.
LeMahieu is in the midst of a career-worst campaign that has not only threatened to take him out of an everyday role but also pushed him down to the No. 9 slot in the lineup Monday. The veteran may have bought himself a little more leeway with his fifth-inning solo shot against the Rays. It was his first long ball of the campaign and his first hit of any sort over his past seven contests. Despite Monday's glimmer of hope, LeMahieu is still slashing a paltry .181/.276/.228 through 146 plate appearances on the campaign.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Officially lands on paternity list
Atlanta placed Riley on the paternity list Monday.
Riley was removed from Monday's 4-1 loss to the Reds in the ninth inning after his wife went into labor, and he's now officially on the paternity list as he welcomes a new arrival to the family. He is expected to be back with Atlanta for the start of its series Thursday against the Mets, per David O'Brien of The Athletic. Nacho Alvarez is handling third base Tuesday while Zack Short occupies second base.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Could return by Friday
Miranda (back) could be cleared to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday at Triple-A St. Paul, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Miranda has progressed nicely of late in his recovery from lower-back tightness and his clearance for game action appears imminent. If all goes well, he's likely to need just a couple rehab games before rejoining the Twins ahead of Friday's game in Detroit. With Royce Lewis (adductor) also tracking toward a return Friday to take over at third base, Miranda could see most of his starts at designated hitter.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Targeting Friday return
Lewis (groin) expects to play two rehab games with Triple-A St. Paul before being activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's game in Detroit, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Lewis will begin his rehab assignment Tuesday, play back-to-back days, rest Thursday and then return to the Twins lineup Friday, assuming all goes well. The talented young infielder has missed most of July with an adductor strain and has been limited to just 24 contests this season due to injuries.
