Jonathan Arauz 3B | LAD
Mets' Jonathan Arauz: Removed from 40-man roster
The Mets placed Arauz on outright waivers Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Arauz appeared in 27 games for the Mets in 2023, slashing just .136/.203/.288 across 66 plate appearances. The 25-year-old infielder will have the option to elect free agency if he clears waivers, but Arauz likely wouldn't be able to land more than a minor-league deal.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Diamondbacks' Emmanuel Rivera: In Game 3 lineup
Rivera is starting at third base and batting eighth Thursday in Game 3 of the NLCS against the Phillies.
Evan Longoria started each of the Diamondbacks' first seven games at third base this postseason, but it will be Rivera at the hot corner Thursday as Longoria slides into the designated hitter spot. Rivera did receive one plate appearance in Game 1 of the NLCS, grounding out as a pinch hitter.

Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA
Cubs' Nick Madrigal: No restrictions this offseason
Madrigal (hamstring) will head into the offseason without any restrictions, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Madrigal suffered a right hamstring strain in mid-September and was shifted to the 60-day injured list late in the season. He appears to be healed up now, though, or at least will be by the time he begins his offseason workout routine. Madrigal made 68 starts -- 61 at third base -- for the Cubs this season, collecting a .663 OPS with two homers. He'll have a shot to compete for playing time again in 2024, although the team is surely hoping to have a better option for the hot corner.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jace Peterson: Absent from NLCS roster
Peterson is not on the Diamondbacks' NLCS roster.
Peterson was a late addition to Arizona's NL Wild Card roster as a replacement for Jake McCarthy (oblique) and he wound up receiving just one plate appearance combined between that series and the NLDS. The Diamondbacks are going with pitcher Slade Cecconi on their NLCS roster over Peterson.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Evan Longoria: In lineup for NLDS Game 3
Longoria (hand) will be in the lineup Wednesday for Game 3 of the NLDS against the Dodgers, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Longoria was removed from Game 2 on Monday after taking a pitch off his right hand in the top of the ninth inning, but X-rays turned up negative and the veteran third baseman is good to go for Wednesday's potential NLDS clincher at Chase Field. He is 3-for-15 with a double and two RBI through four postseason games.

Gunnar Henderson 3B | BAL
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Hitting leadoff in Game 3
Henderson will start at shortstop and bat leadoff Tuesday in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Rangers.
Henderson jumps to the very top of the Orioles' lineup for Tuesday's potential elimination game in Texas after going 2-for-4 with a homer, a walk and three runs scored in Sunday's Game 2 loss at Camden Yards. Adley Rutschman will bat second Tuesday versus the Rangers and right-hander Nathan Eovaldi.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Back at third base for Game 3
Lewis (hamstring) will start at third base and bat cleanup Tuesday in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Astros.
Lewis had been limited to DH duties through the Twins' first four postseason games after straining his left hamstring Sept. 19, but he feels healthy enough to man the hot corner as the best-of-five ALDS shifts from Houston to Minnesota. Edouard Julien will fill the DH role and bat leadoff Tuesday at Target Field as Jorge Polanco covers second base and hits second.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Evan Longoria: Lifted after HBP
Longoria is being considered day-to-day after being struck on the hand by a pitch during Game 2 of the NLDS against the Dodgers, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Longoria was drilled during the top of the ninth inning and was lifted in favor of a pinch runner, but his X-rays returned negative. The team will likely keep a close eye on the veteran third baseman over the next few days to determine whether he can play in Game 3 on Wednesday.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Evan Longoria: Remains in lineup Monday
Longoria is starting at third base and batting eighth Monday in Game 2 of the NLDS against the Dodgers, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
While Longoria's playing time during the regular season wasn't consistent, he's now started each of the Diamondbacks' four postseason contests (three against right-handers and one versus a lefty). The veteran infielder drove in a pair of runs in Arizona's Game 1 blowout victory.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Likely to remain at DH
Lewis (hamstring) is likely to remain at designated hitter for the ALDS against the Astros, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Lewis and the Twins are hoping he'll be available to play third base at some point, but his left hamstring still isn't 100 percent. For now, the club will just be happy to have his bat in the lineup. Lewis homered twice and also drew two walks during the Twins' AL Wild Card Series versus the Blue Jays.
