Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Knocks three hits in loss
Jung went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Friday's 7-1 loss to San Diego.
Jung was the lone highlight for the Rangers, whose bats couldn't do much against starter Joe Musgrove. Jung, who led off the ninth inning with a single, crossed the plate for Texas' lone run after a bases-loaded walk. The rookie third baseman has hit safely in five of the last six games with a home run and three doubles.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Nationals' Jeimer Candelario: OK after injury scare
Candelario said after Friday's game against the Mets that he's "fine" and would have been able to hit if his spot in the lineup came up again, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Aggressiveness on the bases led to an injury scare, as Candelario tried to stretch a single into a double in the eighth inning and appeared to hurt his left shoulder. The shoulder apparently checked out OK in between innings, but as he was the DH on Friday, no defensive replacement was necessary. A likely trade candidate, Candelario went 1-for-3 with a walk in the cointest and is now slashing .254/.355/.478 on the season.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Day off Friday
Moncada isn't starting Friday against the Guardians, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Moncada is 2-for-11 with an RBI and five strikeouts since returning from the injured list, and he'll catch a breather Friday. Jake Burger will take Moncada's place in the hot corner, allowing Zach Remillard to start at second base and bat eighth.

Gunnar Henderson 3B | BAL
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Back in lineup Friday
Henderson (back) is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff Friday versus the Yankees, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
The rookie infielder didn't play Wednesday versus the Phillies after having to exit Tuesday's contest with lower-back discomfort, but after an off day for the O's on Thursday he appears ready to roll. Henderson will carry an .802 OPS into action Friday.

Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA
Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Optioned to minors
The Yankees optioned Peraza to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
Peraza will return to the minors to make room for Aaron Judge (toe), who was reinstated from the IL on Friday. Peraza hasn't performed well in the majors this season, but he remains a top option to return to New York if the Yankees' infield depth is tested later this season.

Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Angels' Eduardo Escobar: Hits first homer as Angel
Escobar went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk in the second contest of Thursday's doubleheader against Detroit.
Escobar sat out the first game of the twin bill before starting at first base and batting eighth in Game 2. The veteran contributed to a four-homer effort for Los Angeles, swatting a solo shot to right field in the fourth inning. It was his first long ball since joining the Angels on June 23 -- in fact, prior to Thursday, he hadn't gone deep in 35 total games dating back to May 16 against Tampa Bay when he was still a member of the Mets. Escobar has just five homers in 60 games overall this season after going deep at least 20 times in each of his previous two campaigns.

Jake Burger 3B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Cranks two more homers
Burger went 2-for-3 with two homers and three RBI in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Guardians.
Burger was responsible for all of Chicago's offense in Thursday's loss with a pair of homers off Tanner Bibee, including a two-run, 423-foot blast in the fifth inning. The 27-year-old infielder now has three homers in his last two games -- he's up to 24 long balls on the year, fifth-most in the American League. Overall, Burger is slashing .217/.273/.528 with 51 RBI and 42 runs scored through 311 plate appearances this season.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Brewers' Brian Anderson: On track for August return
Anderson (back) isn't expected to return from the injured list until early-to-mid August, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Anderson resumed hitting in the cage earlier this week, but he still has some hurdles to clear as he recovers from the lingering back issue that sent him to the IL on July 16. When healthy this season, the 30-year-old third baseman has slashed .229/.317/.373 with nine homers and 38 RBI in 85 games for the Brewers.

Eguy Rosario 3B | SD
Padres' Eguy Rosario: Continues rehab assignment
Rosario (ankle) resumed his rehab assignment at Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday and went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two additional RBI while playing nine innings at second base in a 5-2 win over Round Rock.
Rosario has been stuck on the Padres' 60-day injured list since Feb. 16 after he underwent surgery in the offseason to address a fractured ankle. He began a rehab assignment June 6 at Triple-A, then was shut down for two weeks before returning to action June 22. Rosario had his rehab assignment paused again shortly before the All-Star break, but he resumed playing in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League last week before reporting back to El Paso. The Padres likely want the 23-year-old to play on an everyday basis, so once he's deemed ready to return from the 60-day IL, he could be optioned to Triple-A.

Ryan Kreidler 3B | MIN
Tigers' Ryan Kreidler: Rehabbing at Single-A
Kreidler (abdomen) moved his rehab assignment to Single-A Lakeland on Tuesday and went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run in his first game with the affiliate.
Kreidler remains on Triple-A Toledo's 7-day injured list but appears on track to be activated this week or next. He hit .300 with three home runs, two stolen bases and 12 RBI in eight games for Toledo before being deactivated in late April after picking up a knee injury and then undergoing core-muscle surgery.
