Rivera went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 9-3 loss to the Rays.

Josh H. Smith 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Smith: Lands at DH
Smith served as the designated hitter and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to St. Louis.
Smith moved to DH as the Rangers welcomed back third baseman Josh Jung after a long recovery from a wrist injury. Smith made the most of his opportunity filling in at third while Jung was unavailable, and manager Bruce Bochy is expected to now use Smith as the team's primary DH.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Logs hit in return
Jung went 1-for-3 in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Cardinals.
Jung made his return to the majors after missing 102 games with a wrist injury. He slotted in seventh in the batting order, which could be a temporary placement in a low-pressure slot as he acclimates to MLB pitching. When healthy and firing on all cylinders, Jung is expected to bat third, fourth or fifth.

Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Three-homer day in big win
Suarez went 4-for-6 with three homers, five RBI and four runs scored in Tuesday's 17-0 win over the Nationals.

Coming into July, Suarez had hit just six homers and 32 RBI while batting .196 through 80 games. He's completely turned it around in July, slashing .326/.394/.744 with 10 homers and 27 RBI in 24 games. He's the first Diamondbacks player with more than nine homers and 25 RBI in a month since Eduardo Escobar did it in 2019. Ryan McMahon 3B | COL
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Lifts three-run homer
McMahon went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 10-7 loss to the Angels.
McMahon's blast gave the Rockies a 6-2 advantage in the second inning, but they didn't hold the lead for long. The infielder has gone 15 games without a multi-hit effort, batting a poor .170 in that span, though he has drawn 11 walks. For the season, he's at a .262/.348/.440 slash line with 16 homers, 50 RBI, 51 runs scored, 21 doubles and three stolen bases over 104 contests. After staying put at the trade deadline, McMahon should continue to occupy a starting role in the heart of the lineup.
