Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Two-run homer in win
D'Arnaud went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Nationals.
D'Arnaud took Erasmo Ramirez deep in the bottom of the fourth frame, driving in teammate Matt Olson in the process. The long ball was the catcher's 18th of the season and fourth in September. Since the beginning of the month, d'Arnaud has batted .333 with four homers, seven RBI and 10 runs scored over 12 games.

J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Five hits in loss
Realmuto went 5-for-5 with a solo homer, a double, two runs scored and two RBI in an 18-11 loss Tuesday against Toronto.
Realmuto hit safely in all five of his at-bats Tuesday, singling in a run in the fifth, doubling and scoring in the eighth and launching a solo blast in the ninth. It was his first five-hit performance of the season. The 31-year-old has been magnificent at the plate over the last five weeks, posting a .347/.417/.653 slash line with seven homers and 25 RBI in 28 games while starting nearly every contest behind the plate.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Sitting again Tuesday
Raleigh (thumb) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics.
The 25-year-old will sit for the fourth time in the past five games as he continues to manage soreness after he jammed his left thumb last week. Raleigh should be considered day-to-day as Curt Casali receives another start behind the plate Tuesday.

Yasmani Grandal C | PIT
White Sox's Yasmani Grandal: Out of Tuesday's lineup
Grandal is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Guardians, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Grandal is hitting .205 with two home runs in 13 games this month. Seby Zavala will start behind the dish and hit eighth.

Alejandro Kirk C | TOR
Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Returns to action Tuesday
Kirk (hip) is starting at designated hitter and batting cleanup Tuesday against the Phillies.
He makes his anticipated return to the heart of the Jays lineup after missing almost a week with the hip injury. Kirk is hitting .289 with four runs and eight RBI this month but he is still searching for his first September home run.

Jose Trevino C | CIN
Yankees' Jose Trevino: Back in action Tuesday
Trevino (knee) is starting behind the dish and hitting ninth Tuesday against the Pirates, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.
He was removed from Friday's game with a bruised knee but is back in action after a few days off. Trevino is hitting .143 with zero home runs and six strikeouts in 10 games this month.

Endy Rodriguez C | PIT
Pirates' Endy Rodriguez: Bumped to Triple-A
Rodriguez was promoted from Double-A Altoona to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.
Rodriguez has emerged as one of the game's best catching prospects this year, hitting .317/.406/.580 with 24 home runs, four steals, a 19.8 percent strikeout rate and an 11.8 percent walk rate in 119 games between High-A and Double-A. This promotion will allow him to keep playing in games following the conclusion of the Double-A season. Rodriguez, who has played in 17 games this year at second base to go along with his time at catcher and designated hitter, could debut in Pittsburgh next year.

Will Smith C | LAD
Dodgers' Will Smith: Takes seat for twin bill opener
Smith is not in the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks.
There was a chance Smith would start both games Tuesday had the Dodgers deployed him as the designated hitter in one of them, but with little to play for they will limit their starting catcher to just one start. Austin Barnes will work behind the plate in the first game of the twin bill.
-
Curt Casali C | ATL
Mariners' Curt Casali: On base twice in rare start
Casali went 0-for-2 with two walks and a run in a win over the Angels on Monday.
Casali had been out of the lineup in six of the eight games prior to Monday and played a full game in only one of the two contests he had started in that sample. However, he put in a full nine behind the dish Monday with Cal Raleigh (thumb) sidelined and was reasonably productive by displaying a discerning eye at the plate. Casali has a couple of serviceable offensive seasons on his resume from his days with the Reds, but he's limped to a .111 average and .421 OPS over the 33 plate appearances he's logged across 10 games with the Mariners thus far.
