Heim went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 9-4 win over Kansas City.

Heim plated Nate Lowe twice in the contest, on a fourth-inning single and a sixth-inning double. In his last seven games, Heim has gone 10-for-22 (.455) with three doubles, a home run, five RBI and four runs scored. He's likely to continue splitting time with Jose Trevino, although Heim has most often filled the backup role behind the dish.

McCann is not in the starting lineup for the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Phillies.

McCann went hitless in three plate appearances during the first half of the twin bill. Patrick Mazeika will catch David Peterson and bat eighth in the nightcap.

Realmuto isn't starting the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Realmuto started in Friday's matinee and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout. He'll get a breather for the second game while Rafael Marchan starts behind the dish and bats eighth.

Maldonado is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Detroit, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

He'll get a rest after catching the previous three games. Jason Castro will bat ninth and catch Framber Valdez during the second game of the four-game set.

Trevino is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Royals.

Trevino will get a rest for the second time in three games. Jonah Heim will catch Dane Dunning and bat eighth.

Barnhart is not in the lineup Friday against Atlanta.

Barnhart started the past two games and will take a seat after going 3-for-7 with a home run, three RBI, a walk and two runs. Tyler Stephenson will work behind the plate in his place Friday.

McGuire went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Thursday's win over the Orioles.

It's the third time in his last five starts McGuire has rapped out at least three hits as he continues to thrive in a starting role while Danny Jansen (hamstring) is sidelined. The hot streak has added 120 points to McGuire's batting average on the season, boosting his slash line to .324/.367/.459 through 80 plate appearances.

Stallings did not play Thursday in an effort to manage his playing time behind the plate, DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.

Manager Derek Shelton said that there is nothing in particular wrong with Stallings, though fatigue may be a factor. "He's a little banged up, so I'm going to try and pick days to make sure he's OK," Shelton said. The 31-year-old sat out the last two games in favor of backup Michael Perez.

Contreras went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 4-0 victory over the Dodgers on Thursday.

Contreras provided some insurance with his sixth-inning home run to left off Walker Buehler, though Chicago wouldn't need it as the staff threw a combined no-hitter. It was his second straight game with a home run as Contreras has put together a nice three-game stretch, going 5-for-11 with two doubles and two long balls.

Hedges (concussion) went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 4-1 win over Minnesota.

Hedges required just a minimum stay on the 7-day injured list, and he was strong in his return to the lineup, knocking in the game-tying run with an RBI single in the second. He got aboard with another single in the eighth and scored on Eddie Rosario's two-run single. Hedges is slashing just .157/.216/.250 with three home runs, eight RBI, nine runs scored and a double through 119 plate appearances. He should be Cleveland's primary catcher going forward, while Rene Rivera will serve as his backup.
