Texas placed Miller on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left hamstring strain.

The good news here is that Corey Seager (thumb) has been activated from the IL in a corresponding roster move and will return to the Rangers' starting lineup Wednesday night against the White Sox. Miller suffered the hamstring strain in Tuesday's win over Chicago and seems likely to be out for at least a couple of weeks.

Buxton was scratched from the lineup Wednesday at St. Louis with right hamstring tightness, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Buxton may have tweaked his hamstring while legging out a double in the Twins' defeat of the Cardinals on Tuesday night. There's no word yet as to the severity of the injury. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Ford is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Ford had some big hits for the Mariners in the early part of July, but he is slashing just .130/.216/.283 over his last 51 plate appearances. Cal Raleigh will serve as Seattle's designated hitter Wednesday with Tom Murphy handling the catching duties.

Turner (heel) remains out of the lineup Wednesday at Seattle.

Turner made an early exit from Monday's series opener against the Mariners due to a left heel contusion and hasn't played since, though there's been no talk of him requiring a stint on the injured list. Christian Arroyo will start at second base in Wednesday's matinee and Masataka Yoshida is serving as Boston's designated hitter.

Cabrera is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Cabrera had started in each of the Tigers' last five games, going 5-for-17 with two doubles, a walk, two RBI and a run scored during that stretch. Though Cabrera's been a part-time player for most of the season, manager A.J. Hinch has rewarded the 40-year-old with more playing time of late while he's been one of the team's better performing hitters over the past week.

Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to Atlanta.

He fanned twice against Spencer Strider, with the first being the right-hander's 200th strikeout of the season, but Ohtani salvaged his night by singling and stealing his 13th bag of the year in the sixth inning, extending his current hitting streak to six games. In addition to his exploits on the mound, the 29-year-old is having the best campaign of his MLB career at the plate, slashing .304/.406/.676 -- personal bests in all three categories -- with a major-league leading 39 homers, plus 81 runs and 81 RBI through 106 contests.

Belt went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Tuesday's 13-3 loss to the Orioles.

Not much went right for the Blue Jays in this one, but Belt supplied their final bit of offense by taking Kyle Bradish deep in the third inning. The veteran first baseman is slashing .209/.341/.478 since the beginning of July, launching five of his nine homers on the year in 19 games over that stretch.

Rooker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Rooker has an active five-game hitting streak, going 7-for-18 (.389) with two homers and four RBI in that span. The outfielder is up to 18 homers on the year, doubling his previous career best. He's maintained a .248/.340/.483 slash line with 48 RBI, 36 runs scored and two stolen bases through 88 contests. Those numbers are somewhat pedestrian relative to all of MLB, but he's been one of Oakland's top hitters.

The Red Sox are viewing Turner as day-to-day after he exited Monday's 6-2 loss to Seattle with a left heel contusion. The 38-year-old has remained a solid fantasy asset in his first season in Boston, particularly over the past two months. Since June 1, Turner leads the majors in RBI (50), and he's also contributed 11 home runs, 36 runs, two stolen bases and a .311 average during that stretch.

Alvarez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Alvarez started all five games since being activated from the injured list last Wednesday, and he'll receive a day off after going 7-for-18 with a double, two homers, four RBI and five runs over that span. Yainer Diaz will bat seventh as Houston's designated hitter Tuesday.
