Buxton, who is leading off and starting in center field Sunday against the Guardians, is playing through a knee issue, and the Twins will be measured with his usage until it's healed, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

The team feels it can manage the issue without pushing him too hard and risking a longer absence. Buxton is the Twins' most valuable position player, so having him on a part-time basis is better than not having him at all, but there is still some risk that he aggravates the issue and they are forced to shut him down at some point.

Solak is not in Sunday's lineup against the Red Sox.

He is hitting .214 with zero home runs and three steals in 10 games this month. Eli White gets the start in left field while Brad Miller starts at designated hitter.

Ohtani went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against Oakland.

The two-way star went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the first game of the twin bill, and he followed that performance with his seventh homer of the season in the nightcap. The long ball had extra significance, as it was the 100th of his major-league career. According to the Angels' communications department, Ohtani joined Hideki Matsui and Ichiro Suzuki as the third native of Japan to hit at least 100 home runs in the majors.

Torrens is not in Sunday's lineup against the Mets.

Torrens was on base four times Saturday via two singles and two walks, but he's still hitting .194 with zero home runs and nine strikeouts in 10 games this month. Cal Raleigh gets the start at catcher, batting ninth.

Winker went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's loss against the Mets.

Winker came up big for the Mariners in the seventh inning, belting a three-run shot to right field to tie the score 4-4. However, that was the final run Seattle scored in the game as the Mets pulled out a 5-4 win. Winker batted only .169 in April but has been better in May, hitting .286 with two homers and seven RBI across 49 at-bats.

Winker went 1-for-3 with an RBI single and a walk in a win over the Mets on Friday, extending his hitting streak to five games.

Winker's season slash line is ever-so-slowly inching its way upward, and it now stands at .207/.316/.276 following Friday's production. The outfielder has hit safely in eight of his last nine games overall; however, with only six extra-base hits, including one home run, over 136 plate appearances, he remains significantly off a 2021 pace that led to 57 extra-base knocks, including a career-high 24 homers, in 485 PAs with the Reds.

Buxton isn't starting Saturday's game against the Guardians.

Buxton will get a breather after going 1-for-9 with a homer, two runs, two walks and two strikeouts over the last three games. Gilberto Celestino will take his place in center field and bat eighth.

Miller will be on the bench against lefty Rich Hill and the Red Sox on Saturday.

Miller hasn't started against a single southpaw all season. That trend continues here with Charlie Culberson at third base and Nick Solak in left field.

Choi isn't starting Saturday against Toronto, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Choi has drawn four starts since returning to the field, but he's gone 0-for-15 with an RBI and eight strikeouts. Manuel Margot will serve as the designated hitter while Vidal Brujan starts in right field against southpaw Hyun Jin Ryu.

Stanton went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored Friday in a 10-4 victory versus the White Sox.

The slugger got the Yankees off to a fast start in the contest with a 427-foot, two-run bomb to center field. This marked the third straight game in which Stanton has gone deep, and he has gone 7-for-12 with four homers, 11 RBI and six runs during the scorching stretch. The hot streak has lifted his season slash line to .284/.323/.552, and Stanton is tied for third in the league with 10 long balls on the campaign.
