Reyes is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Reyes is on the bench for the second time in three games against a right-handed pitcher (Jacob deGrom), but he still appears to be in relatively good standing for a near-everyday role. Though he's supplied a lowly .222/.282/.389 slash line through 39 plate appearances, his .296 woBA is still good for fifth among all hitters in a Royals lineup that contains numerous black holes.

Jimenez went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts Sunday against the Orioles.

Jimenez started at designated hitter for the third consecutive game since returning from a hamstring injury Friday. Despite spending the minimum amount of time on the injured list, he's looked rusty since his activation and managed only one hit across 12 at-bats while striking out six times since. Jimenez has yet to get going this season, as he's maintained just a .161/.257/.226 line across 35 plate appearances.

Turner is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Turner's absence from the starting nine looks to be little more than a veteran's day off while the Red Sox and Angels conclude their four-game series with a day game that begins at 11:10 a.m. local time. Outfielder Masataka Yoshida will get a day out of the field to fill Turner's usual spot as Boston's designated hitter.

Rooker went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Mets.

Rooker has started six straight games and has notched two hits in all but one of them, slashing .417/.464/.958 with four home runs, 11 RBI and a 1.423 OPS over that span. The 28-year-old has been hitting in the heart of the Athletics' order each day, and he showcased power at Triple-A last season with 28 home runs in 81 games. The run he's on isn't sustainable, but it looks like the A's are turning him into an everyday player and he should warrant some fantasy consideration.

Stanton, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain following an MRI, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.

The Yankees haven't confirmed the estimated 4-to-6-week timeline, but because he's dealing with a moderate hamstring strain rather than a Grade 1 strain, he'll be in store for more than a minimum-length stay on the shelf. Willie Calhoun started at designated hitter and could see more run while Stanton is sidelined, though the expected return of Josh Donaldson (hamstring) from the IL later this week may limit Calhoun's opportunities.

Pirates vice president of baseball operations said Sunday that Choi (Achilles) is likely to require more than a 10-day stint on the injured list, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

The 31-year-old will be eligible to be activated April 25, but his absence is likely to extend into May. Choi suffered the Achilles strain during spring training and played through the issue during the first couple weeks of the season, but the Pirates opted to place him on the shelf after a 4-for-32 start to the campaign.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Angels.

Turner hit a go-ahead, two-run homer in the third off Reid Detmers, marking the veteran's first long ball of the season. He has an extra-base knock in four of his past five appearances and has notched three multi-hit contests during that stretch.

Winker was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres due to right oblique tightness, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The 29-year-old returned to the lineup Saturday after he missed five games due to bronchitis, but he's now dealing with an oblique injury. Mike Brosseau will step into the lineup, and Winker should be considered day-to-day until more information is available.

Carpenter is not in the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Brewers, Annie Heilbrunn of Bally Sports San Diego reports.

Carpenter is 1-for-13 with two walks and seven strikeouts in his past five contests and will sit Sunday for the third time in San Diego's past four games, though it's worth noting the Brewers are throwing left-hander Wade Miley, which would normally be cause for Carpenter to start the game on the bench anyway. Nelson Cruz will make another start at designated hitter, batting cleanup.

Solak was designated for assignment by the White Sox on Sunday.

It's been a roller coaster of movement for Solak in 2023. He was claimed off waivers from the Mariners by the White Sox on Friday just a few weeks after Seattle traded for the outfielder from the Reds. If Solak goes unclaimed, he could report back to Charlotte.
