Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Homers in win
Stanton went 1-for-4 with solo home run in Wednesday's 7-6 win against the Reds.
Stanton went deep for a game-tying solo shot off Ian Gibaut in the bottom of the eighth inning, knotting up the score at 6-6. The homer was his 23rd of the season and fourth in 10 games in July. Since June 23, Stanton has gone 14-for-66 over 17 games, but nine of those hits have been long balls. On the year, the outfielder is batting .237 with 23 home runs, 57 RBI and 35 runs over 266 at-bats in 73 games.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Exits with leg tightness
Jimenez was removed from Wednesday's game against the Guardians with right leg tightness, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Jimenez went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts before being replaced in the field for the bottom of the seventh inning. The severity of the injury remains unclear, and the 25-year-old should be considered day-to-day until more information is available.

Kyle Lewis DH | ARI
Mariners' Kyle Lewis: Momentous rehab game Tuesday
Lewis (concussion) started in left field for the first time in his rehab assignment during Triple-A Tacoma's loss to Oklahoma City on Tuesday and also hit a home run for the fourth straight game in one of his two plate appearances.
Lewis exited the game in the top of the fifth inning for a defensive replacement, but not before leaving the yard yet again via a fourth-inning solo shot to center field. The 27-year-old certainly appears to have his timing back at the plate after going 5-for-9 with four round trippers and seven RBI in his last four games, but the Mariners would likely want to see him play at least one full game in the field before activation is considered.

J.D. Martinez DH | NYM
Red Sox's J.D. Martinez: Back in lineup Wednesday
Martinez (undisclosed) is starting at designated hitter and batting third against the Rays on Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.
Martinez is back in the starting lineup after suffering from some unspecified soreness Tuesday and failing to play in the Red Sox's loss to the Rays. The 34-year-old currently owns a four-game hit streak, batting .412 with a homer, four RBI and seven runs over that span.
-
Darin Ruf DH | MIL
Giants' Darin Ruf: Takes seat Wednesday
Ruf isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Ruf has started mainly against left-handed pitchers recently and will be out of the lineup for the fifth time in the last 10 games since right-hander Zac Gallen is on the mound for Arizona. Brandon Belt is serving as the designated hitter while LaMonte Wade starts at first base.
-
Miguel Cabrera DH | DET
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Gets breather Wednesday
Cabrera isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Royals.
Cabrera is in the midst of a cold spell at the plate in which he's hit .045 with a double, three RBI, a run and a stolen base over the last six games. He'll get a breather while Harold Castro serves as the designated hitter and bats fifth.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Resting for day game
Ozuna is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
With the top two teams in the National League East closing their series with a day game after a night game, Atlanta manager Brian Snitker decided it was an ideal time to give Ozuna some time off. Adam Duvall will start in left field and Eddie Rosario will serve as Atlanta's designated hitter while Ozuna heads to the bench for the first time since June 19.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Rangers' Brad Miller: Slips into DH
Miller started at designated hitter and went 0-for-2 in Tuesday's 14-7 extra-innings loss to Oakland.
After Kole Calhoun started at DH on Monday, Miller got the start in the Rangers' second game without Mitch Garver, who had been the primary DH before undergoing season-ending surgery on his forearm. While Garver's injury creates more opportunities for Miller, he's still subject to matchups and is often pinch hit for against lefties, as was the case Tuesday when A.J. Puk entered the contest.

Yermin Mercedes DH | SF
Giants' Yermin Mercedes: Hits first homer with new team
Mercedes went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, four RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's 13-0 win over the Diamondbacks.
Mercedes opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning. He added a two-run blast in the second and another RBI on a groundout in the eighth. The 29-year-old has produced two multi-hit efforts in nine games since his most recent recall from Triple-A Sacramento. He's now batting .296 with a homer, four RBI, five runs scored and three doubles in 31 plate appearances through his first 11 contests with the Giants.

Charlie Blackmon RF | COL
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Supplies big hit Tuesday
Blackmon went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Padres.
Blackmon went deep off Padres starter Mike Clevinger in the sixth inning, and that was enough to earn the Rockies a win. With multiple hits in three straight games, Blackmon is back in a groove at the plate. The 36-year-old is up to a .271/.324/.475 slash line with 14 homers, 50 RBI, 45 runs scored and two stolen bases through 79 contests as he remains a near-everyday fixture in the heart of the order. He's tended to run a bit hot-and-cold at times, but he can be productive at home, where he's hitting .299 this season.
