  • Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Hits big bomb in loss

Stanton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a loss to the Angels.

With the Yankees trailing by two runs in the sixth inning of the contest, Stanton belted a 426-foot solo shot off Jose Suarez to pull New York within a run. The long ball was his 14th of the season but first since June 17. The slugger is slashing .286/.407/.514 with five homers, 14 RBI and a 15:21 BB:K through 22 games this month.

  • Harold Ramirez DH | WAS

Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 13-5 win over the Tigers.

Ramirez notched his second three-hit game this month. He doubled and scored in the second, then added an RBI single and came around to score again in the fifth. The 26-year-old is slashing .343/.366/.582 with four homers, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored, a stolen base and a 1:8 BB:K in 67 at-bats this month. He's slated to be Cleveland's primary right fielder for the time being after Josh Naylor suffered a closed fracture and dislocation of his right ankle Sunday. Franmil Reyes (oblique) is expected to return from an extended stay on the injured list this weekend, and he could cut into Ramirez's playing time once he's activated.

Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Goes yard again

Ohtani went 1-for-5 with a solo homer in Monday's 5-3 win over the Yankees.

  • Miguel Cabrera DH | DET

Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Goes deep in lopsided loss

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and two runs scored in Monday's 13-5 loss to Cleveland.

Cabrera was one of the few bright spots for Detroit in this one, as he connected for his sixth home run of the season in the second inning. The veteran has never really got going this season, as his OPS still sits at just .635, though he's capable of providing the occasional good stat line. Fantasy managers just shouldn't expect a return to his peak production anytime soon.

  • Brandon Belt DH | TOR

Giants' Brandon Belt: Expected to avoid surgery

Belt is dealing with minimal structural damage in his right knee but is expected to avoid surgery, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Belt has already sought a second opinion, and he's expected to receive yet another opinion Wednesday from Dr. McAdams of Stanford, per Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic. The team expects that he'll be able to rehab instead go under the knife, but a final decision has yet to be made by the first baseman.

  • Franmil Reyes DH | WAS

Indians' Franmil Reyes: Expected back Saturday

Reyes (oblique) is expected to return Saturday against the Astros, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Reyes was expected to be out until July when he suffered an oblique strain in late May. Unless he suffers a setback in the next few days, that timeline remains accurate. He's gone 4-for-12 thus far on his rehab assignment but evidently needs to play in a few more games until he's ready to return.

  • Bryce Harper 1B | PHI

Phillies' Bryce Harper: Returns to lineup

Harper (calf) is starting Monday's game against the Reds.

Harper was held out of Sunday's lineup after he was hit by a pitch on the left calf Saturday, and he didn't appear off the bench in the win over the Mets. However, he'll start in right field and bat fourth in Monday's contest.

  • Jesse Winker DH | NYM

Reds' Jesse Winker: Starting as expected

Winker (hip) will bat second and play left field Monday against the Phillies.

Winker left Saturday's game against Atlanta with a bruised right hip, but he didn't seem concerned with the issue. He didn't start Sunday's game but did draw a walk off the bench. He'll be involved from the start this time around and will look to build on his excellent .325/.401/.590 season slash line.

  • White Sox's Yermin Mercedes: Doubles, drives in three
