Duran (3-0) picked up the win in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the Royals, striking out two while allowing a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning.
The Twins' closer entered the game with the score tied 4-4 in the top of the ninth and got rewarded for his efforts when Brooks Lee hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the frame. All three of Duran's wins have come in his last five appearances, and through 23.1 innings on the season he sports a sparkling 1.16 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB with eight saves in nine chances.

The Orioles designated Perez for assignment Saturday.
Perez will exit the 40-man roster after posting an 8.31 ERA, 2.12 WHIP and 21:18 K:BB across 21.2 innings this season. The move makes room in the Orioles' bullpen for Yaramil Hiraldo, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Norfolk by Baltimore on Saturday.

The move makes room on the roster for Luis Guerrero, who the Red Sox recalled from Triple-A Worcester. Newcomb has a 3.83 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 41:16 K:BB across 40 innings this season, but he has yielded seven runs (six earned) over his last 12.1 frames.

Guerrero has appeared in three major-league games for the Red Sox this season and has tossed four scoreless innings while allowing one hit and striking out three batters without issuing a walk. He has a 4.91 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 16:10 K:BB across 18.1 innings in Triple-A this season. Guerrero will take the spot in the bullpen vacated by Sean Newcomb, who was designated for assignment by the Red Sox in a corresponding move.

The Blue Jays placed Garcia on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to right shoulder impingement.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Saturday that the issue has developed slowly over the last few weeks, per Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca. Garcia will be shut down from throwing and will undergo further tests to determine a timeline for his return to the majors. It's a significant blow to Toronto's bullpen, with Garcia posting a 3.15 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 24:10 K:BB across 20 innings with three saves and six holds this season. Paxton Schultz was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move.

The move corresponds with the Blue Jays placing Yimi Garcia (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list. Schultz has appeared in two major-league games for the Blue Jays this season, including an eight-strikeout performance in his MLB debut against the Mariners on April 20.
