Emmanuel Clase RP | CLE
Guardians' Emmanuel Clase: Up to 44 saves
Clase earned the save in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the White Sox, allowing one hit while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.
Clase's allowed just one earned run over his last 24 appearances (25 innings). He's up to a league-leading 44 saves, matching a career high, with a stellar 0.67 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 60:8 K:BB across 67.1 innings this season.

Bowden Francis RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Bowden Francis: Loses no-hitter in the ninth
Francis allowed one run on one hit and one walk over eight innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Mets. He struck out one.
Francis lost a no-hitter in the ninth inning for the second time in his last four starts. The right-hander issued just one walk through eight innings before Francisco Lindor smacked a game-tying homer to lead off the ninth. Despite another tough finish, Francis has been spectacular of late. Overall, the 28-year-old Francis is 8-4 on the season with a 3.50 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 82:20 K:BB over 92.2 innings. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Rangers next week in his next start.

Cameron Booser SP | TB
Red Sox's Cam Booser: Back from injured list
The Red Sox activated Booser (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday. Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
The left-hander landed on the shelf due to elbow inflammation in mid-August and is ready to rejoin the active roster after two scoreless rehab appearances. Booser has been effective out of the bullpen during his rookie campaign with a 3.00 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 42:13 K:BB over 42 innings.

Edwin Uceta RP | TB
Rays' Edwin Uceta: Suspension reduced to two games
Uceta's suspension was reduced Wednesday from three games to two games plus a fine, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The reliever's suspension comes after umpires determined he intentionally hit Nick Castellanos with a pitch during Tuesday's loss to Philadelphia. Uceta will begin serving the suspension Wednesday, but the Rays will now be able to add him to their bullpen a day earlier than initially expected.

Brennan Bernardino RP | COL
Red Sox's Brennan Bernardino: Out with elbow soreness
The Red Sox placed Bernardino on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to left elbow soreness, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
According to Cerullo, manager Alex Cora said the southpaw's injury is bone-related rather than ligament-related, which offers hope that Bernardino may be able to avoid an extended absence. Bernardino's move to the IL comes after he surrendered two runs over one-third of an inning Tuesday against the Orioles. He has been a reliable bullpen piece for Boston this season with 14 holds and a 4.06 ERA in 57 appearances.

Edwin Uceta RP | TB
Rays' Edwin Uceta: Serving three-game ban
Uceta won't appeal the three-game suspension issued by Major League Baseball and will begin serving the ban in Wednesday's series finale in Philadelphia, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Uceta was issued the suspension after he was ejected in the eighth inning of Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Phillies when umpires determined that he intentionally hit Nick Castellanos with a pitch. In addition to sitting out Wednesday, Uceta will miss games Thursday and Friday in Cleveland before he's eligible to return for the penultimate game of the series Saturday.

Kyle Muller SP | ATH
Athletics' Kyle Muller: Back with big club
The Athletics selected Muller's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.
Muller was outrighted off the 40-man roster last month but has made his way back on after posting a 4.43 ERA and 12:5 K:BB over 20.1 innings at Las Vegas. Three of Muller's four appearances with Las Vegas were starts, and he went a combined 13 innings his last two times out. However, while he's stretched out to start, if needed, it's not clear what role the Athletics have planned for him.

Edwin Uceta RP | TB
Rays' Edwin Uceta: Suspended three games for HBP
Major League Baseball issued a three-game suspension to Uceta on Wednesday after he was ejected from Tuesday's game against the Phillies in the eighth inning when he hit Nick Castellanos with a pitch, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Rays manager Kevin Cash was also handed a one-game suspension. Uceta was charged with three runs while retiring just one batter before getting tossed from the contest after umpires determined he intentionally hit Castellanos with a pitch. Uceta is one of four different Rays relievers to pick up at least one save since Pete Fairbanks (lat) went on the injured list last month.

Jordan Leasure P | CHW
White Sox's Jordan Leasure: Starts up rehab assignment
Leasure (shoulder) made his second rehab appearance for Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, striking out one and issuing one walk and giving up no hits over a scoreless inning.
Leasure began his rehab assignment last Friday and turned in a 1-2-3 inning for Charlotte that day before following up Tuesday with another strong appearance. On the shelf since July 20 with a right shoulder impingement, Leasure looks like he could be ready to return from the 15-day injured list this weekend and rejoin the bullpen. He'll be a candidate to fill a high-leverage role and could even factor into the closer picture, but save opportunities will likely be few and far between for the 33-113 White Sox down the stretch.

Edwin Uceta RP | TB
Rays' Edwin Uceta: Struggles in high-leverage spot
Uceta allowed three earned runs on four hits while recording only one out Tuesday against the Phillies.
Uceta entered the game in the eighth inning with the score knotted at 4-4 and runners on second and third. He allowed three of the next four batters he faced to reach base on a double, single and homer, pushing the game out of reach for the Rays. Uceta avoided a loss because Richard Lovelady allowed the inherited runners on base, but it was still a disastrous outing. Even factoring in Tuesday's results, Uceta has a 1.62 ERA and 0.90 WHIP with a 27:3 K:BB in 16.2 innings since Aug. 1.
