Jhoan Duran RP | PHI
Phillies' Jhoan Duran: Earns first save with new club
Duran threw a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Friday's 5-4 win over the Tigers. He did not record a strikeout.
Duran was tasked with protecting a one-run lead in the ninth and needed just four pitches to lock down his first save with the Phillies. It was an ideal debut with his new club and a strong rebound after allowing a run and throwing 27 pitches in his last outing Monday. For the season, the 27-year-old is 17-for-19 in save chances with a 1.97 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 53:18 K:BB across 50.1 innings.

Randy Rodriguez RP | SF
Giants' Randy Rodriguez: Stepping in as closer
Rodriguez will serve as the Giants' new closer, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Rodriguez has been utterly dominant in 44 appearances out of the San Francisco bullpen this season, posting a 1.20 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 62:9 K:BB over 45 innings as a first-time All-Star. With Camilo Doval shipped to the Yankees on Thursday, Rodriguez is poised to take over the ninth, with one-time closer Ryan Walker remaining in a setup role.

Kirby Yates RP | LAA
Dodgers' Kirby Yates: Shelved with lower back pain
The Dodgers placed Yates on the 15-day injured list Friday due to lower back pain, retroactive to July 29.
Yates hasn't made an appearance since this past Saturday against the Red Sox, and that absence was due to a back injury. He's been a steady presence out of the Dodgers' bullpen this season and has a 4.31 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 13 holds, two saves and a 44:12 K:BB across 31.1 innings. The Dodgers were able to bolster their bullpen depth by acquiring Brock Stewart and Paul Gervase from the Twins and Rays, respectively, earlier this week.

Roddery Munoz RP | HOU
Cardinals' Roddery Munoz: Added to big-league bullpen
The Cardinals recalled Munoz from Triple-A Memphis on Friday.
Munoz, Andre Granillo and Ryan Fernandez will all join the Cardinals' bullpen following the departures of Ryan Helsley, Phil Maton and Steven Matz. The 25-year-old Munoz has struggled quite a bit in the majors, posting a 6.65 ERA and 1.58 WHIP across 89.1 career innings between Miami and St. Louis.

Andre Granillo P | STL
Cardinals' Andre Granillo: Back in St. Louis
The Cardinals recalled Granillo from Triple-A Memphis on Friday.
Granillo will be joined on the trip to the majors by Ryan Fernandez and Roddery Munoz, all of whom will act as replacements for Ryan Helsley, Steven Matz and Phil Maton in the Cardinals' bullpen. Granillo has found quite a bit of success in the majors so far, posting a 2.38 ERA and 1.06 WHIP through 11.1 frames. He'll presumably slide in as a middle reliever.
-
Ryan Fernandez RP | STL
Cardinals' Ryan Fernandez: Recalled from Memphis
The Cardinals recalled Fernandez from Triple-A Memphis on Friday.
After trading away Ryan Helsley, Steven Matz and Phil Maton before Thursday's trade deadline, the Cardinals will bring up Fernandez, Andre Granillo and Roddery Munoz to fill the holes in their bullpen. Fernandez, 27, has surrendered 11 runs in only 8.2 innings with the Cardinals this season, but he owns a 3.12 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 34.2 frames at Triple-A.

Kai-Wei Teng SP | SF
Giants' Kai-Wei Teng: Headed to majors
The Giants selected Teng's contract from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday.
Teng has appeared in 25 games (four starts) at Triple-A this season and has posted a 3.67 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 86:21 K:BB across 54 innings. Though he's mostly worked in relief at Sacramento, four of his last five outings have come as a starter, with Teng covering five-plus innings in three of those appearances. With Landen Roupp (elbow) on the 15-day injured list, Teng could be a candidate to enter the Giants rotation as soon as Saturday against the Mets.

Ryan Borucki RP | TOR
Pirates' Ryan Borucki: Reinstated from IL
The Pirates reinstated Borucki (back) from the 15-day injured list Friday.
Borucki landed on the IL in mid-June due to a lower-back injury. He was cleared to resume throwing in early July, and in seven rehab outings he allowed one run on two hits and four walks while striking out 10 across 7.1 innings. Borucki posted a 5.26 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, three saves and a 22:11 K:BB across 25.2 innings prior to his injury.

Kyle Nicolas RP | PIT
Pirates' Kyle Nicolas: Back in majors
The Pirates recalled Nicolas from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.
Nicolas will rejoin the Pirates' bullpen after the team shipped Taylor Rogers and David Bednar elsewhere prior to Thursday's trade deadline. Nicolas has coughed up 10 earned runs over 12 innings in the majors and will likely work in low-leverage spots while in Pittsburgh.

Ron Marinaccio RP | SD
Padres' Ron Marinaccio: Sent to minors
The Padres optioned Marinaccio to Triple-A El Paso on Friday.
The Padres had to clear room on their active roster following their shopping spree ahead of Thursday's trade deadline, and Marinaccio will end up as one of the casualties. The 30-year-old righty threw 2.2 shutout innings while striking out four batters during his brief stint in the majors, and he could still be an option to return to San Diego if/when the Padres need a fresh bullpen arm down the stretch.
