Perez was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.

Perez was called up by Cincinnati on Thursday, but he'll return to the minors to make room on the active roster for Wade Miley (foot), who was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Monday. Perez made two relief appearances during his most recent stint in the majors and allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out one in 1.2 innings.

Holmes pitched a scoreless inning Sunday in a 4-3 loss to Colorado, giving up one hit and a walk while striking out two.

Holmes collected his second hold of the season Sunday and first since Opening Day. The 28-year-old has not allowed a run in his last 14 outings covering 14.1 innings, lowering his earned run average to below 3.00 (2.96) for the first time since his April 6 blow-up (five runs in one-third inning). The righty entered 2021 with a career 5.91 ERA and 1.75 WHIP (in 77.2 innings) but has posted a 2.96 ERA and 1.11 WHIP (in 24.1 innings). He could move into a more high-leverage role if the team trades Richard Rodriguez and Kyle Crick at the trade deadline.

Hernandez (biceps) could return from the 60-day injured list when he's first eligible Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Manager Don Mattingly recently named Miami's starters for Tuesday and Wednesday, but he hasn't yet announced who will take the mound Thursday. Hernandez made his third rehab start for Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday and allowed seven runs (six earned) on six hits and a walk while striking out five in 4.2 innings. Even though he struggled to limit offensive production, he still threw 54 of his 79 pitches for strikes during the outing.

Littell allowed two runs on two hits and struck out two in one inning of Sunday's 5-4 win over the Dodgers.

Sunday's outing was just the second time in 15 appearances the right-hander has allowed runs this season. He gave up a two-run home run to Max Muncy in the eighth inning. Littell has been an effective part of San Francisco's bullpen with a 1.98 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB across 13.2 innings. He's added four holds -- he's in the mix for high-leverage work, although Jake McGee and Tyler Rogers are expected to handle the vast majority of the closing duties.

Bard (3-3) allowed no hits and one walk while striking out three in two scoreless innings to earn the win against the Pirates on Sunday.

Bard hasn't pitched since May 23, but he entered Sunday's game in the eighth inning with the Rockies trailing by one run. He earned his third win of the year after Colorado put two runs on the board in the top of the ninth. Bard has turned things around recently and has allowed just two runs (one earned) while striking out 14 in 10 innings across hit last eight appearances.

Hader allowed one hit and no walks while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Nationals on Sunday.

Hader gave up a single to begin the ninth inning Sunday, but he preserved the Brewers' three-run lead to earn his 12th save of the year. The southpaw hasn't given up a run in any of his last five outings, and he now carries a 0.87 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in 20.2 innings this season.

Antone struck out one batter over 1.1 perfect innings to earn a save over the Cubs on Sunday.

Antone entered the game with two outs and two runners on in the eighth inning but quickly got out of the jam. He then rolled through a perfect ninth to earn his third save of the season. The 27-year-old is currently riding a 12.2-inning scoreless streak and lowered his season ERA to 1.61.

Nelson (forearm) is scheduled to face live hitters Tuesday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

The 31-year-old completed a bullpen session Saturday and will move to the next step of his rehab program. Nelson has been on the shelf with forearm inflammation since May 23, so he may not require a rehab stint since he was only briefly shut down from throwing.

Miller was designated for assignment by the Cubs on Sunday.

Miller hasn't seen the majors this season and has now been removed from the 40-man roster. The 25-year-old has allowed three runs over 5.1 innings at Triple-A Iowa and could remain there if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Webb secured his second hold in a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, firing a scoreless eighth inning during which he allowed a hit and recorded a strikeout.

Despite his season-long struggles, Webb was notably called upon by manager Mike Shildt to work the eighth inning in a three-run game. The veteran left-hander was up to the task, firing 13 of his 17 pitches into the strike zone during a relatively smooth frame. It was a rare taste of success for Webb, who'd allowed at least one earned run in seven of his previous nine trips to the mound despite not surrendering any home runs during that stretch.
