Devenski was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Devenski holds a 4.15 ERA in six relief appearances since joining the Rays earlier this month. He's being moved off the 28-man active roster in favor of Jalen Beeks, who was called up from Durham to give the Rays another left-handed option out of the bullpen.

King (1-0) allowed a run on three hits and a walk while striking out one over one inning to earn the win Sunday over the Phillies.

King also took a blown save after allowing the Phillies to tie the game in the eighth inning, but the Cardinals quickly retook the lead in their half of the frame. Over 16 appearances with St. Louis, King has posted a 1.80 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 8:4 K:BB and seven holds across 15 innings. He's at a 4.01 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB through 33.2 innings overall when accounting for his time with the Rangers. While he's seen some high-leverage work with the Cardinals, he's unlikely to be in the mix to close games with both Ryan Helsley and Giovanny Gallegos healthy.

Young (illness) was activated from the COVID-19-related injured list Monday.

Young was initially shelved in late August with a hamstring injury before being shifted to the COVID-19-related IL on Sept. 9. The southpaw has pitched well for the Reds this season when healthy, posting a 3.31 ERA and 45:19 K:BB through 49 innings.

Atlanta selected Luetge's contract from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Atlanta is in need of a fresh bullpen arm after their pitching staff was bludgeoned for 36 runs over the weekend in Miami in a three-game sweep at the hands of the Marlins. Luetge holds an 8.49 ERA over 11 relief appearances in the big leagues this season.

Anderson (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Gwinnett, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Anderson, who has been on the injured list since mid-July with a strained right shoulder, will likely make two or three appearances with Gwinnett before its season comes to an end Sunday. After that, Atlanta will have to decide whether or not to make room on the 28-man active roster for Anderson during the final week of the season, in what could serve as an audition for a spot on the big club's postseason roster. Anderson gathered four wins, one save and 15 holds while pitching to a 3.06 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 36:9 K:BB in 35.1 innings before landing on the shelf.

Rodriguez was designated for assignment Monday.

Rodriguez was torched for eight runs over two innings in a relief appearance Sunday in Miami and will now move off Atlanta's 40-man roster and 28-man active rosters. Atlanta selected left-hander Lucas Luetge's contract from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move.

Karinchak was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Monday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Karinchak holds a 3.44 ERA with 46 strikeouts over 34 innings with the Guardians this season, though he's also walked 23 batters. He'll probably be used in middle relief over the final two weeks of the season.

Angels manager Phil Nevin said Sept. 2 that Bachman had his throwing program shut down due to a setback with his inflamed right shoulder, MLB.com reports.

Bachman had been shut down coming out of the All-Star break due to the shoulder issue before being cleared to throw at some point in August. Nevin noted that the Angels had been eyeing a mid-September return for Bachman, but the 23-year-old right-hander now appears poised to finish the 2023 campaign on the shelf in light of his recent shutdown. The skipper said that he isn't "too alarmed" about Bachman's injury, so the expectation is that he'll be a full participant for spring training.

Silseth (concussion) recorded one out and allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks in his rehab start Sunday for Triple-A Salt Lake.

Silseth spotted just 14 of his 30 pitches for strikes in what was his first outing since he landed on the Angels' 7-day injured list Aug. 29 after being diagnosed with a concussion. It's unclear whether the Angels' plan was for Silseth to make only a brief rehab start Sunday, or if he was lifted from the outing early due to some sort of physical issue. Even if Silseth came out of the rehab start with a clean bill of health and is activated from the IL to fill the opening in the big club's six-man rotation this coming weekend in Minnesota, he could be held to a limited pitch count in his return.

Rodriguez (shoulder) scattered two hits and one walk over a scoreless inning Sunday in his rehab appearance with Triple-A Salt Lake.

Since beginning his rehab assignment earlier this month, Rodriguez has now made three appearances between Salt Lake and Single-A Lake Elsinore, giving up four earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two. Predictably, Rodriguez has looked rusty while pitching in his first games since undergoing surgery in November 2021 to repair a torn capsule in his right shoulder. Rodriguez may have a chance at returning to the Anaheim bullpen before the end of the season, though any activation from the 60-day injured list may hinge on him pitching effectively for the Triple-A club over the next week.
