Severino (elbow/groin) played catch on the field ahead of Saturday's game against the Athletics, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Severino suffered a Grade 2 groin strain during his rehab stint at High-A Hudson Valley on June 12, but he was able to resume throwing a week later. While it was encouraging to see him play catch Saturday, the right-hander's setback is expected to delay his return by about a month, so he'll likely be sidelined until at least late July or early August.

Wacha (1-2) was tagged with the loss Friday against the Mariners after giving up five runs on 11 hits and a walk while fanning two across 3.2 innings.

As expected, Wacha was unable to go deep into the game. While he tossed 77 pitches, he couldn't even complete the fourth inning. The veteran is likely to remain in the rotation due to the fact that Tyler Glasnow is out with an elbow injury, but the results just haven't been there for him of late, as he owns a 6.92 ERA over his last five appearances. Wacha is slated to make his next start at home against the Red Sox next week.

Kikuchi (4-3) earned the win Friday against the Rays after tossing seven innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and three walks while fanning six.

Kikuchi has given up just one earned run over his last two outings (14 innings) and has been pitching lights out of late, going 3-0 with a 2.05 ERA over his last five appearances and posting four quality starts in that stretch. The southpaw is slated to make his next appearance on the road against the White Sox next week.

Cobb (5-2) earned the victory over Detroit on Friday, pitching 5.2 innings and allowing one unearned run on three hits and two walks while striking out eight.

Cobb entered the contest having given up five runs in each of his past two outings, and he would have escaped without allowing any runners to cross the plate Friday if not for a sixth-inning error by Jared Walsh that helped the Tigers push across a single tally against him. By that point, the Angels had already notched seven runs and given Cobb all the support he needed to earn his fifth win of the campaign. The right-hander helped himself with eight strikeouts and has unexpectedly blossomed in that category that season, posting over a strikeout per inning for the first time in his 10-year career. That has given him some fantasy relevance despite a pedestrian 4.41 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. Cobb's next start is lined up to come at Tampa Bay next weekend.

Urena (2-7) took the loss against the Angels on Friday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four over 4.1 innings.

The right-hander fared well enough through four frames, giving up a pair of runs but allowing Detroit to stay within striking range. Things fell apart for Urena in the fifth inning, however, as he surrendered three home runs along with a single and a walk to depart with a seven-run deficit. The veteran has now given up 15 runs (14 earned) over his past two starts covering six innings, pushing his season ERA up to 5.79. He'll attempt to turn things around in his next appearance, which is tentatively scheduled to come at home against the Astros on Thursday.

Berrios allowed three runs on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision versus Texas on Friday.

Berrios got off to a shaky start, allowing three hits and a walk as Texas scraped together two runs in the first inning. He settled in well after that, although he wasn't able to pick up a win, which has now been the case for his last three starts. The right-hander has a 3.56 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 87:21 K:BB across 83.1 innings this year. He projects for a home start versus Cleveland next week.

Bubic (2-2) allowed two runs on five hits and a walk and struck out two in 2.2 innings, earning the win Friday versus Boston.

Bubic followed opener Kyle Zimmer and the former left the game with Kansas City ahead. The 23-year-old Bubic has still struggled in June with 17 runs (16 earned) allowed over 15.2 innings across four appearances. The southpaw has a 4.17 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 39:22 K:BB across 45.1 innings this year. If Kansas City gets back on a normal rotation, Bubic projects for a start versus the Yankees next week. The status of Brady Singer (shoulder) will likely play a large part in the team's pitching plans in the near term.

Taillon allowed two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out five in 4.2 innings in Friday's loss to the Athletics. He didn't factor into the decision.

Taillon struggled mightily in his last outing and allowed four runs in a third of an inning, but he fared slightly better in Friday's start. The right-hander has allowed at least two runs in each of his last four appearances, but he's only been charged with one loss during that time. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Royals on Thursday.

Kaprielian (4-1) allowed three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out seven in 5.2 innings to earn the win against the Yankees on Friday.

Kaprielian was unable to record another quality start Friday, but he got enough run support from the Athletics to pick up his second consecutive win. The right-hander has lasted at least five innings in all but one of his appearances this year, and he's posted a 2.84 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 38 innings across seven starts. He tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Wells (2-0) struck out two in 1.1 perfect innings to earn the win against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Wells entered Friday's game to record the final out in the top of the fifth inning with runners on the corners. He struck out Marcus Semien to finish the inning, and he retired each of the three batters he faced in the sixth to pick up his second win of the year. The right-hander has struck out 12 in 11 scoreless innings across his last six outings.
