The right-hander dominated against an imposing Padres lineup, giving up three singles and one double. Over his past two contests, Wheeler has tossed 14.2 scoreless innings during which he has registered a 17:2 K:BB. His 2.05 ERA this season ranks sixth among qualified pitchers, and he currently leads the league with 139 strikeouts. Wheeler's next start is expected to come on the road against the Cubs next week.

Paddack tossed seven innings against the Phillies on Friday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out five. He did not factor in the decision.

The right-hander bounced back from a rough previous start during which he allowed five runs in 2.1 frames against Arizona. Paddack demonstrated solid control against Philadelphia, throwing 67 of 95 pitches for strikes. Perhaps most impressively, he absorbed a rough first inning in which the Phillies tallied two runs and held them to only one more tally the rest of the way. Paddack has had an up-and-down campaign, compiling a 4-5 record along with a 4.56 ERA. He's pitching well enough to remain in San Diego's rotation but has been a middling fantasy asset. He's tentatively lined up to make his next start against Washington on Wednesday.

Gray allowed a run on five hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in five innings versus the Cubs on Friday. He did not factor in the decision.

Gray threw 86 pitches (53 strikes) in his first start in over three weeks. The right-hander's lone blemish was an RBI double he allowed to Jason Heyward in the fourth inning. Through 55 innings this season, Gray has a 3.27 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 73:21 K:BB while posting a 1-4 record. He lines up for a road start in Kansas City next week.

Gallen was diagnosed with right hamstring tightness after he left Friday's game against the Giants.

Gallen was removed in the top of the third inning after he appeared to hurt himself during his pitch delivery. The right-hander will be evaluated in the coming days to determine his status, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to make his next turn through the rotation. If he's cleared to pitch, Gallen tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Rockies on Thursday.

Gallen exited Friday's game against the Giants with an apparent leg injury, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Gallen appeared to hurt his leg during a delivery in the top of the third inning, and he was immediately removed from the game after visiting with a trainer. Prior to his departure, he allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three in two innings. It's not yet clear what injury he could be dealing with or whether the issue will force him to miss his next turn through the rotation.

Walker won't start Friday against the Yankees after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Friday's matchup will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday. The right-hander only lightly played catch before the postponement was announced, so Walker will be able to start Saturday's game against the Yankees, DiComo reports. Marcus Stroman will start Sunday's matinee, while Corey Oswalt could take the mound in the nightcap.

Lopez was ejected from Friday's matchup against Atlanta after he hit Ronald Acuna with the first pitch of the game, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.

Lopez's first pitch ran inside and hit Acuna in the elbow, and the right-hander was tossed since Miami and Atlanta have had a history of similar incidents. It's not yet clear whether the ejection could lead to further discipline for Lopez. He could be available to pitch on shorter rest than usual following Friday's extremely brief outing.

Burnes received treatment on his sore knee Friday and the club currently anticipates he'll be able to make his next start, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The club said Thursday that they were optimistic Burnes would be able to take his turn in the rotation next week, and the training staff has yet to see anything with the right-hander that suggests that won't be the case. Burnes currently lines up to take the ball Wednesday against the Mets.

Strasburg (neck) completed a 51-pitch bullpen session Friday, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

The veteran righty continues ramping up his workload as he works his way back from a neck strain. Strasburg likely will need to progress to facing live hitters before embarking on a rehab assignment, and he appears to be nearing that point.

Gray was officially activated from the 10-day injured list prior to his Friday start against the Cubs.

Gray was placed on the injured list June 9 with a right groin strain. He made a rehab outing with Triple-A Louisville on June 26, striking out five while allowing two hits across three scoreless innings. He could be on some sort of pitch count Friday given that he doesn't appear to be fully stretched out, but the Reds have not commented on how many innings they'll be looking to get out of the right-hander.
