Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Bullpen session set for Thursday
Strasburg (neck) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.
Strasburg has been able to throw off flat ground over the past few days without any complications, so he'll advance to the next phase of his rehab process. If all goes well during the side session, Strasburg could face hitters in live batting practice next weekend before beginning a minor-league rehab assignment.

Antonio Senzatela RP | MIL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Hits DL with shoulder issue
The Rockies placed Senzatela on the 10-day disabled list Sunday due to inflammation of his right shoulder, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
The shoulder issue is a new concern for Senzatela, whose lone other stint on the DL this season came in July, when he battled a blister on his throwing hand. Saunders relays that the Rockies view the injury as a minor one, offering hope that Senzatela may be able to return in close to the minimum 10 days. His absence will create an opening in the rotation Tuesday against the Pirates, with rehabbing starter Chad Bettis (finger) likely representing the top candidate to fill the void.

Jordan Lyles RP | KC
Brewers' Jordan Lyles: Heading to Milwaukee
Lyles was claimed off waivers by the Brewers on Sunday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Lyles came off the disabled list last week from a forearm injury and is now heading to join his new team after a few appearances out of the Padres' bullpen. The 27-year-old will likely enter the Brewers' bullpen group but could be utilized as a starter, as well. However, Lyles had much more success as a reliever with the Padres this season with a 3.33 ERA and 1.07 WHIP, compared to a 4.79 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in eight starts.

Kenta Maeda SP | NYY
Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Tagged for five runs in loss
Maeda (7-7) served up five runs on six hits (one home run) and two walks while striking out four over 5.1 innings and taking the loss against the Astros on Saturday.
Maeda was aggressive on the mound (55 of 86 pitches for strikes), but he gave up too much hard contact (four extra-base hits) to an Astros lineup known for its slugging abilities. It's been a season of highs and lows for the veteran hurler, and he appears to be trending downward with a 6.88 ERA over his last three starts. Things don't get any easier for Maeda in his next start when he takes on the Rockies at Coors Field next Friday.

Austin Gomber SP | TEX
Cardinals' Austin Gomber: Escapes with no-decision against Bucs
Gomber didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Pirates, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks over four innings while striking out five.
The southpaw threw 71 pitches (47 strikes) and left the game with the score knotted at 4-4, leaving Dakota Hudson to benefit from the continued barrage of hits by the Cards offense. Gomber figures to remain in the rotation for now, but another poor outing could see him swap places with Hudson and move him back into a relief role. It's also worth noting the Cardinals picked up Tyson Ross off waivers Sunday.

Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Phillies' Zach Eflin: Efficient in win over Marlins
Eflin (8-3) picked up the win Saturday in an 8-3 victory over the Marlins, giving up three runs on four hits over eight innings while striking out six.
The right-hander looked to be headed for his third career complete game, but after the Marlins scored twice in the eighth inning, including a solo homer by Miguel Rojas, Eflin hit the showers after 85 pitches (60 strikes). He'll take a 3.61 ERA into his next start Friday in San Diego.

Jose Urena SP | LAA
Marlins' Jose Urena: Blasted by Phillies
Urena (3-11) took the loss Saturday, coughing up six runs on eight hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks over five innings while striking out three as the Marlins fell 8-3 to the Phillies.
The Phillies jumped on Urena for three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back, as the right-hander got tagged with at least five runs for the third time in his last four starts. Urena will carry a 4.66 ERA into his next outing Friday at home against the Mets.
-
Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Crushed in Milwaukee
Anderson (6-4) allowed seven earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four across four innings to take the loss Saturday against the Brewers.
Anderson was hit hard from the beginning of Saturday's start. He allowed six consecutive Brewers to reach base in the first inning, capped by a grand slam off the bat of Travis Shaw. He allowed only a solo home run by Ryan Braun across the next three innings, but the damage was already done. He entered the game with a solid 3.69 ERA and had not allowed more than five earned runs in a start since his season debut. He'll look to bounce back in his next outing, likely to come Thursday at home against the Dodgers.
-
Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Seven shutout innings
Wheeler (6-6) allowed three hits and one walk while striking out nine across seven innings to earn the win Saturday against the Braves.
Wheeler found the strike zone with 73 of his 104 pitches and generated 16 swinging strikes to keep the Braves off balance. He allowed only one extra-base hit -- a double to Freddie Freeman -- and has not allowed a home run across his last three starts, a span of 20 innings. Beginning with his start on July 3, Wheeler has struck out 39 and has a 2.56 ERA over 38.2 innings.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Braves' Kevin Gausman: Falls in team debut
Gausman (5-9) allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two across five innings to take the loss Saturday against the Mets.
Gausman allowed only one earned run through five innings but ran into trouble in the sixth inning, allowing four consecutive singles. He generated only five swinging strikes, indicating that he wasn't fooling many batters. However, from a run-prevention standpoint, the start was a success as Gausman didn't allow a home run for the first time in his last seven appearances. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, likely to come Thursday at Washington.
