Prielipp (3-7) took the loss Friday in San Diego, giving up six runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts and two walks over six innings.

After a six-start string of solid performances -- during which he posted a 4.09 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 10.1 K/9 -- Prielipp has now surrendered 14 earned runs across his past two outings. The left-hander had a strong start to his MLB career with a 2.88 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in his first five big-league appearances earlier this year, but he's been unable to maintain that level of effectiveness and has a 5.57 ERA and 1.40 WHIP through 18 starts overall.

Yamamoto allowed two runs on five hits, a walk and two hit batsmen while striking out nine over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Pirates on Friday.

The Dodgers' bullpen couldn't hold the lead Yamamoto left them with, but it was still another quality start for the star right-hander. He's given up just six runs over 26 innings with 27:7 K:BB through four starts in August. For the season. Yamamoto has a 2.61 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 145:35 K:BB through 151.2 innings over 23 starts. He's projected to make his next start at Detroit.

Vasquez (9-6) earned the win Friday against Minnesota, allowing two runs on two hits and no walks over seven innings. He struck out three.

The right-hander worked in bulk relief his previous time out, but he started Friday's contest and completed seven frames for the second time this season. Vasquez hasn't been tagged with a loss since late June, and in nine appearances (five starts) during that span he's gone 3-0 with a 3.65 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB across 37 innings. Even when the 27-year-old is pitching well, the lack of strikeout potential and inconsistent role limit his fantasy upside.

Boyd allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Friday.

Boyd's troubles with the long ball continued -- he gave up one homer, a three-run blast to Cal Raleigh, as the Mariners rallied ahead in the second inning to answer the Cubs' hot start. That's now eight homers allowed in August for Boyd after he allowed just six long balls across his first 12 appearances of the year. The southpaw is at a 4.15 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 71:28 K:BB through 91 innings over 16 games this season. His next start is projected to come in Arizona.

Hancock allowed three runs on eight hits and a hit batsman while striking out six and walking none over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Friday.

Hancock started poorly, giving up a solo home run to Pete Crow-Armstrong and a two-run shot to Alex Bregman in the first inning. After that, Hancock was able to settle down, finishing with 98 pitches (68 strikes), though the Mariners' bullpen would blow the lead he left them with. Over four starts in August, Hancock has allowed 11 runs (10 earned) across 23.1 innings, adding a 23:5 K:BB in that span. For the season, he's at a 3.37 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 125:32 K:BB through 133.2 innings over 24 starts. He's just an inning shy of matching his overall workload from the 2025 regular season, and he's 15.1 innings away from his career high from 2024. Hancock is projected to make his next start in Toronto.

Rodriguez (13-4) allowed four hits and two walks while striking out four over 5.2 shutout innings to earn the win over the Reds on Friday.

Rodriguez came up an out shy of a third straight quality start, but he has won three straight outings and five of his last six. This was the shortest of his six scoreless performances this season. Rodriguez is at a 2.61 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 110:49 K:BB through 155 innings over 26 starts. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Cubs.

Lodolo (3-3) allowed six runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out two over 3.1 innings to take the loss versus the Diamondbacks on Friday.

In addition to the 12 baserunners allowed, the battery of Lodolo and Jose Trevino surrendered four stolen bases to add some fuel to Arizona's early offense. Over three starts since returning from a finger issue, Lodolo has given up 10 runs over 12.1 innings. He's had trouble getting into a rhythm at all this year, posting a 5.04 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 59:31 K:BB through 75 innings over 15 starts. Lodolo is projected to make his next start at San Francisco.

Cantillo did not factor into the decision in Friday's 9-1 win over the Rockies, allowing one run on four hits and four walks with five strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Cantillo rebounded after allowing a run in the first inning but struggled with his command, throwing just 49 of 89 pitches for strikes with 11 whiffs and falling one out shy of qualifying for the win. The 26-year-old owns a solid 2.70 ERA through four August outings, but his quality start Saturday marked the only time he's exceeded five frames in his past 10 turns. He'll carry a 3.73 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 144:63 K:BB across 130.1 innings this season into a road matchup with the Angels next week.

Gore did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Angels, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out seven over six scoreless innings.

Gore had everything working, generating 21 swinging strikes on 100 pitches while registering at least four whiffs with four different offerings. It continued a strong August for the 27-year-old, who owns a 1.57 ERA through four outings this month, including two scoreless quality starts. He'll carry a 4.26 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 161:52 K:BB across 145.2 innings this season into his next start, which is projected to be a road matchup with the Brewers next weekend.

Detmers did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Rangers, allowing six hits and one walk while striking out five over six scoreless innings.

Detmers didn't have his best stuff, generating only nine swinging strikes on 89 pitches, but he pounded the strike zone en route to his second straight scoreless start. Dating back to the fifth inning of his July 17 outing, the southpaw has tossed 16 consecutive scoreless frames, posting a quality start in each of those efforts. He'll take a 3.62 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 172:44 K:BB across 149 innings this season into a home matchup with the Phillies next weekend.
