Edman went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's 11-6 win over Atlanta.

Edman has been steady, going 8-for-21 (.381) during his seven-game hitting streak. He's bounced around defensively as usual, seeing time at second base, shortstop and center field in that span. The speedy utility man is up to 23 thefts on 25 attempts this year while adding a .246/.310/.416 slash line, 12 home runs, 42 RBI and 61 runs scored through 116 games.

Arroyo is slashing .293/.376/.508 with nine home runs, 24 steals and a 19.4 percent strikeout rate in his last 79 games for High-A Dayton.

His season line (.257/.332/.444) and 116 wRC+ are strong for a good defensive infielder like Arroyo, who didn't turn 20 until August, but he really came on strong over the final three-plus months of the season. The young switch hitter had a strong first full season in the Reds organization after getting traded from Seattle at last year's deadline in the Luis Castillo trade. Arroyo should head to Double-A next year as a 20-year-old.

Wendle went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and four RBI in Wednesday's 11-4 win over the Dodgers.

The 33-year-old infielder hadn't produced a multi-hit performance since July 7, slashing a woeful .143/.179/.190 over the 42 games in between, and his only other homer in 2023 came June 9. Wendle had begun ceding playing time at shortstop to Garrett Hampson in September, but this offensive eruption might help stabilize his spot in the starting nine.

Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 5-4 loss against the Pirates.

Adames took Colin Selby deep for a three-run shot in the top of the first to give the Brewers an early lead and later added a single, marking his first multi-hit game this month. The shortstop had just one hit over 16 September at-bats coming in, which was also a three-run homer. He's also struck out at least one time in six straight games. With that said, Adames has homered in four of his last 16 contests, batting .254 over that stretch while also driving in 16 runs.

Winn went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Wednesday against Atlanta in an 11-6 victory.

All nine offensive starters for St. Louis recorded at least one hit in the contest, and Winn's was a solo homer to left field in the sixth inning. The long ball was his first as a major-leaguer in his 16th game. Other than Wednesday's home run, it's been mostly a struggle for the 21-year-old, as he's slashing just .161/.175/.250 with a 1:13 BB:K over 58 plate appearances.

Abrams went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and two stolen bases in Wednesday's 3-2 victory versus the Mets.

Abrams came up with a big hit in the seventh inning, notching a two-out single that tied the score 2-2. He followed with a swipe of second base, his second theft of the game and his 40th of the campaign. Per Jessica Camerato of MLB.com, Abrams is the ninth MLB player since 2000 to steal at least 40 bases prior to his age-23 season. He ranks fourth in the majors in that category and has added 15 homers, 52 RBI, 68 runs and a .245/.296/.403 slash line over 130 contests.

The Diamondbacks designated Ahmed for assignment Wednesday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Ahmed will be pushed off the 40-man roster in order to clear space for top prospect Jordan Lawlar's arrival. Ahmed posted just a .560 OPS across 210 plate appearances in the majors this season, and he's unlikely to return to the big leagues if he goes unclaimed off waivers.

Crawford is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Crawford has been in a strict platoon at shortstop with Paul DeJong since returning from the injured list last week. It will be DeJong at short for this one versus rookie lefty Jordan Wicks.

De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-6 win over Seattle.

De La Cruz scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Having been thrown out attempting to steal earlier in the game, the speedy and confident De La Cruz reached base on an infield single then stole second base. From there, he came in on Christian Encarnacion-Strand's walk-off single. The steal was De La Cruz's 25th in 32 attempts while in the majors. Including the minors, he's swiped 36 bags (caught 13 times).

Ahmed went 0-for-3 in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Colorado.

Ahmed had a couple of chances with runners in scoring position but was unable to deliver against the team with the worst record in the National League. The shortstop has just one hit in 22 at-bats over the last 10 games. Ahmed, who has a career .739 OPS against left-handers, was in the lineup against Colorado southpaw Kyle Freeland, but the shortstop's season OPS against lefties fell to .404 following the loss.
