Williams tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday and will have to complete a quarantine of at least 10 days before he's eligible to rejoin the Phillies, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Williams was one of three players placed on the COVID-19 injured list Friday, with catcher Andrew Knapp and starting pitcher Zach Eflin joining him. According to Salisbury, all three players are fully vaccinated and weren't subject to testing unless they felt ill, an indication that Williams, Knapp and Eflin are all experiencing symptoms on some level. The Phillies called up outfielder Jorge Bonifacio from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday to fill Williams' spot on the active roster.

Baez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 9-4 win over Washington.

The 28-year-old had just two hits in 12 at-bats during this weekend's series versus Washington, but both knocks left the yard. Baez is up to 26 homers, 72 RBI, 57 runs scored and 13 stolen bases through 426 plate appearances. He's batting just .209 (13-for-62) with four homers and three doubles through 17 games since he joined the Mets at the trade deadline.

DeJong remains out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

DeJong will sit for the fourth straight contest, and his status as a backup player was likely sealed in Saturday's 13-0 win, when Edmundo Sosa went 4-for-6 with two triples and five RBI. Sosa had earned the everyday role at shortstop while providing a 1.032 OPS in August even before Saturday's big performance, a stark contrast from the .690 mark DeJong has provided on the month.

Turner went 3-for-3 with a run, a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-2 victory over the Rockies.

Turner was on base four times Saturday, reaching on singles in the first, third and seventh innings and walking in the fifth. He scored in the third after swiping his 26th bag, good for third in the league, to record his seventh run in his last eight games. Turner has posted an excellent .329/.372/.506 slash line in 20 games with Los Angeles that's nearly identical to his .323/.370/.518 figures on the season.

Edman went 4-for-6 with a double, two runs and two RBI in Saturday's 13-0 blowout of the Pirates.

Edman's legs served him well in the contest -- both of his run-scoring hits were infield singles. He finished with his second four-hit game of the campaign and eighth multi-hit effort in his past 13 contests. Over that span, he is batting a scorching .386 (22-for-57) with a home run, 13 runs, 11 RBI and two stolen bases.

Lindor went 1-for-4 with a single and two stolen bases in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Nationals.

While Lindor's bat hasn't come around yet since his return from an oblique injury, the shortstop's legs appear to be just fine. The 27-year-old swiped bags No. 9 and 10 Saturday night, while also smacking a base hit. If nothing else, the steals are a sign that the four-time All-Star is feeling OK after an extended stay on the injured list.

Story (leg) is starting Saturday against the Dodgers, Megan Garcia of MLB.com reports.

Story didn't appear in Friday's series opener after he aggravated a leg injury Wednesday, but he'll start at shortstop and bat third Saturday. The 28-year-old was in a slump at the plate prior to his one-game absence, as he went 0-for-17 with a walk and six strikeouts across his last five appearances.

Seager will sit Saturday against Colorado, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Trea Turner will slide to shortstop with Mookie Betts moving in to start at second base. While that will be Saturday's arrangement, the arrival of Turner hasn't meaningfully cut into Seager's playing time, as his off day Saturday is just his second since Turner was acquired at the trade deadline.

Adames (quadriceps) is batting second as the designated hitter Saturday against the Twins.

Adames hasn't played since exiting Tuesday's game with a quadriceps injury. It's unclear how soon the shortstop will be able to play his position again, but the Brewers might DH him again Sunday to take advantage of the last game in Minnesota and protect Adames' health.

The Reds optioned Barrero to Triple-A Louisville on Saturday and assigned him to the taxi squad, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

The infield prospect has appeared in six games and gone 2-for-12 with a double since being called up Aug. 16. Barrero's roster spot was needed for the versatile Asdrubal Cabrera, who joined the Reds on Saturday after being claimed off waivers.
