DeJong went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Cleveland.

His seventh-inning blast off Bryan Shaw proved to be the game-winning hit. DeJong has four of his 14 homers on the year in the last 12 games, a stretch during which he's produced a blistering .385/.429/.692 slash line.

Diaz started at third base and went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-6 win over the Mariners.

Diaz was activated off the injured list Monday but stayed on the bench for that night's game while Abraham Toro filled in at third base for the injured Alex Bregman (quadriceps). A day later, the Astros traded Toro to Seattle, and Diaz became the new fill-in. Bregman just began a rehab assignment Monday that is expected to last a week to 10 days, so Diaz should be a lineup regular through this week.

Fletcher went 3-for-4 with a walk Tuesday in a loss to Colorado.

Fletcher put an end to a brief three-game skid during which we went 0-for-13. He has collected three or more hits 10 times this season, with eight of those performance coming since June 14. Fletcher is slashing .395/.414/.531 over his past 35 games.

Turner was removed from Tuesday's game against the Phillies after testing positive for COVID-19, Maria Torres of The Athletic reports.

Turner's removal from Tuesday's game after the top of the first inning fueled trade rumors and injury speculation, but he instead tested positive for coronavirus and was immediately pulled per MLB protocols. The 27-year-old will be away from the team for the near future until he clears the health and safety protocols.

Turner wasn't traded and was instead removed from Tuesday's game against the Phillies with an apparent injury, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Baez (heel) was removed from Tuesday's lineup against the Reds, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The 28-year-old was initially deemed good to go for Tuesday's contest after not starting Monday, but he apparently requires at least another day out of the lineup while his left heel recovers. Baez should be considered day-to-day for now, and the Cubs figure to provide an update on his condition no later than Wednesday afternoon. Nico Hoerner enters the lineup to play shortstop in his place.

A bruised heel shortened Baez's Sunday and kept him out of Monday's lineup, but he entered the series opener to hit a walk-off single in his only plate appearance. He's started 10 games since the All-Star break, hitting .275 with one home run, eight RBI and three stolen bases.

Manager Alex Cora said that Bogaerts is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Blue Jays because he wanted to give him "one more day" to rest his left wrist, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports. The shortstop is expected to return to the lineup Wednesday.

All signs were pointing toward Bogaerts dealing with some sort of physical issue after he was left off the lineup card for the second straight day, and now it's clear that he's still managing the minor left wrist soreness that forced him to miss the July 17 game against the Yankees. He'll get an additional day to rest, and assuming he doesn't suffer any sort of setback, he should be good to go Wednesday.

Marlins manager Don Mattingly said Tuesday that Berti (concussion) has resumed light baseball activities, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Berti appears to have made only slight progress in his recovery from a concussion, an injury that resulted in him being placed on the 7-day injured list Friday. He likely won't be on track to return for this weekend's series against the Yankees, which is when he'll be first eligible.

Wendle is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The lefty-hitting Wendle will hit the bench for the second time in four games with the Yankees bringing southpaw Jordan Montgomery to the hill. Yandy Diaz will pick up a start at third base in Wendle's stead.
