Indians rookie shortstop Francisco Lindor posted the first three-hit game of his career in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Reds. Lindor singled twice, doubled and scored two runs, boosting his season average up to .241.

Lindor has gotten off to a rather quiet start to his young career, but he has been turning things around lately. Over his last 10 games, Lindor is batting .293 with a home run and three RBI. 

Diamondbacks shortstop Cliff Pennington hit a solo home run during a pinch-hit opportunity in Saturday's loss to the Giants.

Pennington is hitting .411 with seven hits, a home run and five RBI over his last 17 at-bats.

Astros shortstop Carlos Correa went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's loss to the Rangers.

Correa hit a two-run blast, his eighth of the season, in the ninth inning to bring the game within a run, but his team wouldn't get any closer than that.

Correa is hitting .357 with five hits, a double, a home run and three RBI over his last four games.

Diamondbacks second baseman Chris Owings hit his third home run of the season during Friday's 6-5 loss to the Giants.

Owings hit the solo shot off Matt Cain in the fourth inning. He finished the game 2 for 5 with one RBI. Owings is hitting .231 with one home run and two RBI in his last 12 games.

The Marlins placed second baseman Dee Gordon on the 15-day disabled list Friday, reports MLB.com.

The move was made retroactive to July 12. Gordon is suffering from a dislocated left thumb. He is hitting .338 with 33 stolen bases in 84 games this season.

Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon, who dislocated his thumb on Saturday, might avoid the disabled list because of the rest he will get due to the All-Star break, per the Miami Herald.

Gordon could return for the Marlins as soon as July 20 against the Diamondbacks.

Marlins' second baseman Dee Gordon isn't in the starting lineup for Sunday's game, snapping a 27-start streak. 

Gordon has missed just four starts this year, but he's sidelined after dislocating his thumb in Saturday's game. 

Miguel Rojas replaces Gordon at second. It's his first start of the season at second base and just his third career start at the position. 

Giants All-Star shortstop Brandon Crawford had a big night at the plate on Saturday. Crawford went 3 for 4 with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored in the 8-5 win over the Phillies.

Crawford tied the game at 1-1 with a run-scoring triple in the second inning. It was his fourth three-bagger and 51st RBI of the season. 

Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada flashed some rare power on Saturday, as he launched a solo home run in the sixth inning of Saturday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks. The home run, his second of the season, was only hit of the game and it gave the Mets their final run of the afternoon.

Tejada is batting .237 with two RBI over his last 10 ballgames.

Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon left Saturday's game against the Reds with a disloacted left thumb. Gordon beat out an infield hit in the seventh inning, but he slid head-first into first base. He immediately left the game with the injury.

Before departing, Gordon was 3 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored, as the Marlins won the game 14-3. He was voted in to be the starting second baseman for the National League All-Star team, but now he will not be able to participate in the Midsummer Classic. 

"It's very unfortunate for Dee and for us," Miami manager Dan Jennings said, per MLB.com. "It kind of dampers a big day for us.

Gordon entered play on Saturday with the third-highest batting average in the league. The Marlins have not provided any additional details on the injury, or how long they expect Gordon to be out for. They do not believe Gordon has any ligament damage, and it does not appear that the thumb is broken.
