  • Brayan Rocchio SS | CLE

Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Getting day off

Rocchio is not in the Guardians' lineup versus the Rockies on Tuesday.

Rocchio has just two hits across 22 plate appearances in the last seven games. With Rocchio taking a seat, Gabriel Arias will take over at shortstop and bat ninth.

  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

Athletics' Aledmys Diaz: Activated from IL

Diaz (calf) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Diaz has missed the first two months of the 2024 campaign with a strained right calf he sustained in early March. He appeared in 10 games at Triple-A during his rehab assignment and slashed .154/.313/.308 with six walks and five strikeouts in 32 plate appearances. He figures to compete with Max Schuemann and Abraham Toro for work at shortstop and third base.

  • J.P. Crawford SS | SEA

Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Stays hot in Monday's win

Crawford went 2-for-4 with a double and a run in a win over the Astros on Monday.

Crawford provided one of two multi-hit efforts for the Mariners on the afternoon while hitting safely for the sixth time in the last seven starts. The veteran shortstop has been clicking at the plate since his return an IL stay from an oblique injury, producing a .296 average and .848 OPS across his last 30 plate appearances despite a 26.7 percent strikeout rate in the same span.

  • Braves' Spencer Schwellenbach: Set for MLB debut Wednesday

Atlanta is expected to call up Schwellenbach from Double-A Mississippi to start Wednesday versus the Nationals, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Schwellenbach was promoted from High-A Rome to Mississippi earlier this month and is unscored upon in two Double-A starts, boasting a 17:1 K:BB over 13 innings. He was also dominant in 32 frames with Rome, collecting a 2.53 ERA and 34:9 K:BB. With Schwellenbach in line for his major-league debut Wednesday, Ray Kerr presumably will now shift back to a relief role.

  • Brett Wisely 2B | ATL

Giants' Brett Wisely: Gaining playing time at shortstop

Wisely went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Monday's 8-4 win over the Phillies.

After being called up from Triple-A Sacramento on May 11, Wisely started in just one of the ensuing 10 games, but the 25-year-old since appears to have moved into the strong side of a platoon at shortstop with Marco Luciano. Wisely has started in each of the last three games and in three of the Giants' previous four matchups with right-handed starting pitchers, going a collective 9-for-15 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, five RBI and three runs during that stretch. So long as he's swinging a hot bat, Wisely should continue to play ahead of Luciano until Nick Ahmed (wrist) is reinstated from the injured list.

  • C.J. Abrams SS | WAS

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Goes deep again Monday

Abrams went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's win over Atlanta.

The shortstop launched a solo shot off Charlie Morton in the second inning, giving the Nationals an early 5-0 lead. Abrams has gone yard in back-to-back contests to snap a 22-game power drought, but he hasn't crawled out of his May swoon quite yet -- he hasn't stolen a base in 19 straight games, and he's slashing just .221/.237/.338 over that stretch with a 1:18 BB:K.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Belts fourth homer in win

Bichette went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's win over the White Sox.

He took Nick Nastrini deep in the fourth inning, one of three long balls for Toronto on the day. Bichette is batting .424 (14-for-33) over the last eight games, boosting his slash line on the season to .247/.297/.366 with four homers, four steals, 18 runs and 23 RBI through 50 contests.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Brewers' Willy Adames: Smacks homer in win

Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Monday's victory over the Cubs.

Adames popped his first home run since May 7 when he crushed a 427-foot, three-run shot off Hayden Wesneski in the eighth inning. The Brewers shortstop hopes the homer turns his month around, as he entered the game slashing .213/.253/.404 over 99 plate appearances in May. Overall, Adames is hitting .249/.322/.440 with eight home runs, 27 runs scored and 35 RBI in 233 plate appearances.

  • Ryan Bliss SS | SEA

Mariners' Ryan Bliss: Added to roster

The Mariners selected Bliss's contract from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

The 24-year-old infielder receives his first major-league promotion after putting up a .247/.382/.445 batting line with seven home runs and 28 stolen bases this season with Tacoma. The right-handed hitting Bliss plays both middle infield spots and could get some starts at second base versus lefties due to Jorge Polanco (hamstring) going down.

  • Romy Gonzalez 2B | BOS

Red Sox's Romy Gonzalez: Triples, drives in three

Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a walk and a three-run triple in Monday's 11-3 loss to Baltimore.

The utility man has seen inconsistent playing time for Boston this season, garnering 36 plate appearances in 14 games played. The 27-year-old will continue to draw the occasional start, especially against lefties who he has batted .316 against this season. After Monday's performance, Gonzalez is now batting .273 with zero home runs, five RBI and two runs scored.
