The Mariners recalled Bliss from Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.

Bliss has been on a hot streak since he returned to Triple-A in late July, slashing .308/.373/.538 with three homers and 12 RBI across 12 games. He'll now rejoin the MLB squad to give Seattle additional infield depth, replacing Cade Marlowe, who was optioned to Tacoma in a corresponding move.

Walls is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Walls will get a breather Wednesday after he had started in each of the previous three games while going 1-for-10 at the dish, bringing his average down to a lowly .148 for the season. Jose Caballero will step in at shortstop for Walls, who is still valued for his defense even though the metrics are not exactly glowing in that regard this season. Walls should be considered at risk of moving into more of a utility role if he's unable to start offering more production at the plate.

The Dodgers reinstated Rojas (forearm) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.

Rojas landed on the injured list July 24 due to right forearm tightness, and he played in just one rehab game in Single-A. However, now back on the active roster, the 35-year-old will likely start at shortstop until Mookie Betts (hand) is able to return from the IL. James Outman was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

Cruz (illness) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribunereports.

The 25-year-old was held out of Tuesday's starting nine due to an illness and will sit for a second straight game Wednesday. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will receive another look at shortstop while Jared Triolo starts at second base with Cruz under the weather.

Luciano is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

After receiving a call-up from Triple-A Sacramento on July 30, Luciano made starts at designated hitter in five of the ensuing six games, but he went just 3-for-17 with eight strikeouts. His run as an everyday player may already be over, as Luciano is sitting for the third time in four games, including for the second time against a right-handed starting pitcher (Jake Irvin).

Hamilton is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Royals, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

The left-handed-hitting Hamilton will defer to the right-handed-hitting Romy Gonzalez at second base as the Royals send southpaw Cole Ragans to the hill. Hamilton will take a seat for the Red Sox's sixth straight matchup with a lefty.

Perdomo is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Guardians, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Perdomo made a fifth consecutive start in the first game of the day, going 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the Diamondbacks' 7-3 win. He'll retreat to the bench for the nightcap while Kevin Newman receives a turn at shortstop.

Rocchio is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Diamondbacks.

Rocchio made his fifth start in six games in the Guardians' 7-3 loss earlier in the day, going 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Though his playing time seems to be trending up, Rocchio had posted an .553 OPS since the All-Star break heading into Wednesday, so he doesn't yet seem to have recaptured a full-time role at shortstop. He'll give way to Tyler Freeman in the nightcap.

Schneemann is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Diamondbacks.

With lefty Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound for Arizona for the second contest of the day, the lefty-hitting Schneemann will retreat to the bench. Schneemann started at third base in the Guardians' 7-3 loss earlier in the day, going 1-for-2 with a base hit.

Kim (triceps) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Pittsburgh, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Kim will miss a second straight start while dealing with soreness in his right triceps. The Padres are considering the infielder day-to-day. Tyler Wade will garner another start at shortstop Wednesday in Kim's stead.
