Ward went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a second RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Over his last 13 games, Ward has five multi-hit efforts and eight hitless performances. He's added three homers and 11 RBI in that span despite the inconsistency at the plate. The outfielder is up to a .234/.314/.489 slash line with 28 homers, 89 RBI, 66 runs scored and three stolen bases across 118 contests. Ward's been keeping his OPS around the .800 mark since the All-Star break, so he should remain a steady source of power in the heart of the Angels' lineup.

Mederos allowed three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Mederos gave up all three runs over the first two innings before settling in. He threw just 43 of 72 pitches for strikes, though he was pitching on short rest after taking the mound for Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday. Mederos has a 5.63 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 7:7 K:BB across eight innings in the majors this year. This was his first big-league start, and it looks like the Angels may give him a longer look in the rotation. He is tentatively projected for a home start versus the Reds next week should he get another turn.

Quero went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-6 win over the Tigers.

The rookie launched a solo shot off Codi Heuer in the seventh inning, his fourth of the year, and then added a two-run single an inning later to push Chicago's lead to six. It was his third multi-hit effort in his last eight games and his second game this season with at least three RBI. The 22-year-old is now slashing .275/.342/.381 with 29 RBI and 20 runs scored through 75 contests.

Thomas went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Rays.

Thomas remains in a part-time role, but he's supplied six RBI over his last four games. The outfielder plated the Athletics' first two runs Tuesday with an RBI double in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the fourth. He's up to a .200/.261/.350 slash line with one home run, two steals, seven RBI, four runs scored and three doubles through 46 plate appearances. He continues to see most of his playing time versus southpaws, though he isn't being strictly platooned.

Lopez (6-6) allowed four hits, struck out nine batters and walked none over seven shutout innings to earn the win Tuesday over the Rays.

Lopez continues to look like the Athletics' best starter lately. Over his last four outings, he's posted a 28:6 K:BB across 24 scoreless innings in that impressive stretch. He won't keep this up forever, but his strong second half is showing serious developmental progress. He's now at a 3.30 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 103:30 K:BB through 84.2 innings over 19 appearances (15 starts) this season. Lopez will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is projected to be on the road in Minnesota.

Baz (8-9) allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over seven innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Baz had his longest start since he went seven innings July 1. The right-hander didn't get any help Tuesday, nor did he do himself any favors by allowing four or more runs for the fourth time in five starts. He's now at a 4.93 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 140:50 K:BB through 135 innings across 24 starts. He's already exceeded the 118.2 innings he had across all levels in 2024, so it's possible the 26-year-old is wearing down a bit. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Yankees.

Leasure picked up the save in Tuesday's win over the Tigers, striking out the only batter he faced.

After Mike Vasil surrendered a three-run homer to Colt Keith in the ninth to trim Chicago's lead, Leasure was called on to face Spencer Torkelson and needed just five pitches to fan him and close out his fourth save of the season. The 26-year-old right-hander also has four blown saves this year and carries a 4.17 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB across 45.1 innings.

Flaherty (6-12) took the loss to the White Sox on Tuesday, allowing five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out six over 4.1 innings.

The right-hander cruised through four scoreless frames before unraveling in the fifth, surrendering six hits and all five of his runs in the inning before being lifted. After a strong July in which he never allowed more than three runs in a start, Flaherty has now been tagged for five earned runs in back-to-back outings. He'll carry a 4.76 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 153:49 K:BB into his next scheduled start early next week against the Astros.

Gomez (2-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Tigers, allowing one run on one hit and one walk over five innings. He struck out seven.

Making his first major-league start, the 25-year-old right-hander set the tone early with three scoreless frames, keeping Detroit's bats quiet before Wenceel Perez broke through with a sacrifice fly in the fourth. The outing added to his growing body of work in the majors; he's now made 13 appearances this season, posting a 5.56 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 20:14 K:BB across 22.2 innings. Given his poise in a spot-start situation, Gomez could be in line for another turn in the rotation as the White Sox evaluate his role down the stretch.

Erceg secured his second save of the season in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Nationals after tossing a scoreless ninth inning.

Erceg was called upon for the save chance with Carlos Estevez having pitched each of the last three days. Erceg needed just seven pitches to retire the side, earning his first save since April 25. Estevez is second in baseball with 30 saves and will only give way if injured or unavailable. Erceg is sitting pretty behind him with a 2.52 ERA and 19 holds.
