Urena (2-4) allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out six over five innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Urena has gone at least five innings in all five of his starts in May, allowing a total of five runs with a 23:12 K:BB across 27 innings. He had some shaky moments early in the season, but it looks like the 22-year-old right-hander is starting to settle in. He's at a 2.58 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 36:22 K:BB through 38.1 innings over nine games (seven starts). Urena will need to continue working on getting the walk rate in check, as it could come back to bite him as major-league hitters start to figure him out. His next start is projected to be on the road versus the Rays.

Ginn (2-3) allowed two runs over 2.1 hitless innings while striking out four and walking six to take the loss versus the Padres on Saturday. He also hit one batter.

Ginn's command was almost completely absent in this outing, his first start after he flirted with a no-hitter. The right-hander has had occasional mishaps with command, as this is the third time he's walked four or more batters in an outing this season. It led to an early exit -- he needed 73 pitches (40 strikes) to get his seven outs Saturday in his shortest start of the year. He's now at a 3.19 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 48:23 K:BB through 53.2 innings over 12 appearances (nine starts). Assuming there was no injury-related reason for his wildness, Ginn is projected to make his next start at home versus the Yankees.

Medina will serve as the Athletics' opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Padres, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Medina worked primarily as a starter over his first two MLB seasons, but he has pitched exclusively in relief so far in 2026, posting a 2.41 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB over 18.2 innings. He has maxed out at 2.2 innings in an appearance this season, so while he could eventually get stretched back out as a true starter, the right-hander will likely operate as more of an opener in San Diego. Sunday had been Jacob Lopez's turn in the rotation, so he seems likely to handle the bulk of the innings behind Medina.

Schanuel exited Saturday's game against the Rangers with left calf tightness, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Schanuel drove in a run on a double in the bottom of the fifth inning -- RBI No. 24 for the first baseman this season -- but he appeared to pull up while jogging into second base. The Angels are off Monday and it would not be a surprise to see Schanuel held out through the off day at the very least, especially with a left-hander in MacKenzie Gore (lat) tentatively expected to start for Texas in the series finale.

Schanuel was removed from Saturday's game against the Rangers after six innings with an apparent injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Fletcher points out that Schanuel appeared to pull up while running into second base on his RBI double in the bottom of the fifth inning, indicating some sort of lower-body issue. Schanuel stayed in the game initially but was then replaced at first base by Vaughn Grissom before the top of the seventh.

Rogers secured the save Saturday against the Red Sox, striking out one in the ninth inning.

Right-hander Andrew Morris began the ninth inning for the Twins before giving way to the left-handed Rogers, who caught Jarren Duran looking for the final out of the game after Duran unsuccessfully challenged the call. Minnesota figures to continue mixing and matching its ninth-inning options going forward. Through 19 innings, Rogers has a shaky 3.79 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB to go with five holds and two saves in as many chances.

Bradley (5-1) earned the win Saturday against the Red Sox, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out seven.

Making his first start since coming off the injured list, Bradley picked up right where he left off before going down with right pectoral inflammation. The 25-year-old right-hander has now tossed at least five innings while yielding two runs or fewer seven times among his nine starts, and Saturday marked his third straight outing with at least seven strikeouts. Bradley will carry an outstanding 2.77 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 59:19 K:BB over 52 frames into his next scheduled matchup with the division-rival White Sox in Chicago.

Bello took a no-decision Saturday against the Twins, allowing two unearned runs on eight hits and one walk in five innings of relief. He struck out five.

Working as a bulk reliever for the Red Sox on Saturday, Bello managed his first scoreless outing of the campaign. The right-hander has fared far batter out of the bullpen this year, posting a superb 0.98 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB over 18.1 innings as a reliever as opposed to a ghastly 9.68 ERA, 2.25 WHIP and 18:18 K:BB across 30.2 frames as a starter. Given those splits, it would make sense for Boston to deploy Bello behind an opener again in his next scheduled appearance in Cleveland versus the Guardians.

Jung was removed from Saturday's game against the Angels in the fourth inning with left shoulder soreness, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Michael Helman entered the game at shortstop, with Ezequiel Duran shifting to third base after Jung struck out and lined out in his two plate appearances. It wasn't immediately clear when or how Jung was injured, though it may have been when he made an attempt at a ball at the hot corner. He will likely undergo testing to determine the extent of the issue.

Cecconi (3-5) took the loss Saturday as the Guardians were blanked 3-0 by the Phillies, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk over five-plus innings. He struck out five.

The right-hander didn't pitch poorly over his 86 pitches (57 strikes), but Cecconi got out-dueled by Zack Wheeler. Cecconi did keep the ball in the yard for the third time in his last four starts, an encouraging turnaround after he served up eight homers in his first seven outings of the year. His ERA during that stretch was 6.56 through 35.2 innings; since he began doing a better job of limiting long balls, that's dropped to a 2.91 ERA in 21.2 frames with a 1.34 WHIP and 19:7 K:BB. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Red Sox.
