The Rangers activated Garcia (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

Garcia has been sidelined since April with left rotator cuff inflammation, but he's been reinstated after making just one scoreless rehab appearance. The lefty reliever could be eased back into high-leverage situations for the Rangers.

Mayo went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Monday's 6-3 win over Cleveland.

Mayo crushed a solo shot in the third inning and walloped a two-run homer in the sixth to attain his first career multi-homer game. He should continue to see regular playing time versus left-handed pitching, having posted a ridiculous 1.136 OPS in 133 at-bats against southpaws this season. On the year, Mayo is hitting .224 with 21 long balls, 14 doubles, 58 RBI and three steals over 352 at-bats.

Walker recorded the final out to earn the save in Monday's win over Cleveland.

Nathaniel Lowe took Andrew Kittredge yard for a three-run jack earlier in the ninth inning, but Walker extinguished the fire to preserve the win for Baltimore. It was the first save of the season for Walker, who has a 2.01 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB with three holds over 22.1 innings. The southpaw doesn't figure to see many more save opportunities down the stretch.

Rogers (10-9) notched the win against Cleveland on Monday, allowing one run on six hits and no walks in 7.1 innings. He struck out six.

Rogers emptied the tank for the Orioles on Monday amid a heated American League playoff race, throwing a season-high 104 pitches in a season-long outing. The left-hander has really turned his campaign around following a dismal start to the year, yielding two earned runs or fewer in 13 of his last 17 appearances since the beginning of June. He'll take a 4.15 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 138:37 K:BB over 151.2 innings into his next scheduled start in Toronto.

Cantillo (9-9) took the loss against Baltimore on Monday, allowing four runs on three hits and two walks in 2.1 innings. He struck out three.

Cantillo looked to be a step slow for a rare Monday afternoon start, landing only 35 of his 72 pitches for strikes. It was his shortest outing since the beginning of June, excluding a rain-shortened Aug. 9 start against the White Sox, and he's now conceded four earned runs in back-to-back appearances after giving up two runs or fewer in his prior six. The southpaw will look to right the ship this weekend in Minnesota, where he'll tote a 4.00 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 154:77 K:BB over 144 innings.

Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy said Monday that Contreras (hamstring) will resume running during the team's current series against the Angels and could be activated from the 10-day injured list as soon as Friday's series opener versus the Royals, Marcus Grunfeld of ElEmergente.com reports.

Tracy also added that Contreras could go out on a short rehab assignment before returning to the active roster, but he plans to speak with the first baseman about that possibility later this week. Contreras landed on the IL one week ago because of a left hamstring strain. Mickey Gasper has been filling in at first base for the Red Sox.

The White Sox activated Murphy (forearm) from the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Chicago didn't have room in its bullpen for a healthy Murphy, so he'll end up sticking around in Charlotte for a little while longer after he struck out six over 4.2 scoreless innings across five rehab appearances for the affiliate. Murphy should rank near the top of the list for a call-up if the White Sox have a need for another lefty arm in the bullpen at any point over the final three weeks of the season.

Yesavage (knee) is expected to face hitters in live batting practice Thursday, MLB.com reports.

Yesavage checked out fine following a 23-pitch bullpen session Friday and is set to throw off a mound again Monday before advancing to facing hitters. Assuming the young right-hander steers clear of any setbacks in his recovery from meniscus surgery as he moves through his throwing program, he should be on track to return from the 15-day injured list before the end of the season. However, Yesavage likely won't be stretched out enough to handle a traditional starting role once he's activated and could act as more of an opener or get deployed in a piggyback arrangement with another pitcher.

Callahan is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.

Callahan will exit the starting nine after he struck out in all four of his at-bats during Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Guardians, bringing his slash line down to .231/.279/.385 through his first 43 plate appearances in the big leagues. Now on the bench for the fifth time in seven games, Callahan appears to have faded into a reserve role following Riley Greene's recent return from the injured list.

Malgeri is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.

Malgeri will retreat to the bench after he started in each of the Tigers' last four games -- three against left-handers, one against a righty -- while going 4-for-14 with a double, two walks, a stolen base, three RBI and one run. The 26-year-old has maintained a respectable .732 OPS over his first 108 plate appearances in the big leagues, but he appears unlikely to break out of his short-side platoon role in the outfield anytime soon.
