Vasquez fainted while being taken in for an evaluation on his ankle following his start versus the Dodgers on Thursday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Vazquez finished with a no-decision in the contest after allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk over three innings. He was struck on the ankle by a Mookie Betts comebacker in the first inning but remained in the contest for two more frames; however, he was later on his way to get an X-ray before fainting. According to Cassavell, the veteran hurler was taken to the emergency room as a precaution, though he is reportedly stable and conscious. Vasquez will presumably get tests done to try to determine what caused the fainting episode in addition to having imaging on the injured ankle. It's too early at this point to know if either issue will cause him to miss any time.

Sasaki allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three batters over three innings in a no-decision against San Diego on Thursday.

Sasaki's outing began ominously when the first batter he faced, Fernando Tatis, rocked him for a 116-mph double. That proved to be a precursor for what was to come, as the Padres pounded him for seven extra-base hits, including three homers. Manager Dave Roberts finally pulled the plug on Sasaki after three frames and a whopping 88 pitches. Sasaki was fortunate to escape with a no-decision since the Dodgers' offense exploded for 12 runs, but it was unquestionably a troubling outing by the Japanese hurler, who has now given up 19 runs over his past four starts spanning 17 innings. After the game, Roberts said that Sasaki will make his next start but indicated that the team will do a "deep dive" into the pitcher to determine what went wrong, which will include trying to determine if he was tipping his pitches, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.

Urena (5-7) allowed one run on one hit and four walks while striking out six batters over 5.2 innings in a loss to Seattle on Thursday.

Urena and Seattle starter Bryce Miller went toe-to-toe for five scoreless innings, but Urena folded in the sixth, when he walked three batters and gave up a double to allow a run to cross the plate. That ended up being the only time the Mariners scored in the contest, but it was enough to hand Urena the loss since the Angels were blanked. Despite the defeat, there were plenty of positives for the right-hander, who racked up 17 whiffs and six punchouts while rebounding nicely from a seven-run, 4.1-inning dud in his previous appearance. Urena has pitched pretty well overall so far during his rookie campaign. Through 16 appearances (14 starts), he has a 3.03 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 75:41 K:BB over 77.1 innings.

Munoz earned a save against the Angels on Thursday, allowing two hits and walking one batter in one scoreless inning.

Munoz had little margin for error when he took over in the ninth frame, as Seattle held a meager 1-0 lead. The veteran closer allowed the first two batters he faced to reach base and yielded three total baserunners in the inning, but a caught stealing helped him escape without blowing the save. The unsteadiness has been typical for Munoz this season -- he's recorded 16 saves but has also blown five opportunities while posting an uncharacteristic 4.60 ERA ad 1.34 WHIP. Nonetheless, he's locked into the closer role and has now successfully converted each of his past seven save chances.

Miller (4-2) earned the win over the Angels on Thursday, completing seven scoreless innings during which he allowed two hits and struck out eight batters without issuing any walks.

Miller and Angels starter Walbert Urena put up matching goose eggs until Seattle broke through for a run in the sixth inning. That ended up being all the Mariners needed, as Miller combined with two relievers for a shutout. The right-hander completely dominated Los Angeles, taking a no-hitter into the seventh frame before getting tagged for a pair of singles. He tallied 15 whiffs and eight punchouts to help snap a two-game losing streak. Miller got a late start to the campaign, as an oblique strain delayed his 2026 debut until May 13. However, he's been exceptional since joining the rotation, posting a 1.71 ERA, 0.66 WHIP and 62:5 K:BB over 52.2 innings spanning nine appearances (eight starts).

X-rays on Robles' injured right forearm came back negative Thursday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Robles was hit by a 97.9-mph sinker from Walbert Urena in the bottom of the third inning and was replaced in the outfield in the top of the fifth. Robles was on in relief of an injured Julio Rodriguez, who left the game in the third frame after he was hit in the back of the helmet on a throw from Nolan Schanuel in the first inning. Weston Wilson finished the game in right field for Seattle, as Luke Raley kicked over to center field. Robles seems to have avoided a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day.

Lee went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Rangers on Thursday.

Lee struck out three times, but he still finished with a strong fantasy line due to his two-run blast in the fifth inning. The homer extended his on-base streak to 11 games, during which Lee is batting .343 (12-for-35) with two homers and five RBI. With Gleyber Torres (oblique) on the IL and likely still at least several weeks away from returning, Lee has a path to regular playing time. He's started at second base in five of Detroit's past six contests.

Rodriguez is in concussion protocol and will be reevaluated Friday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Rodriguez was plunked in the back of the helmet by a throw from Nolan Schanuel in the bottom of the first inning and was removed from the game in the third frame. If he's eventually diagnosed with a concussion, Rodriguez could be looking at a stay on the 7-day injured list. With Victor Robles (forearm) also dealing with an injury Thursday, Weston Wilson finished the game in the outfield for Seattle.

Diaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run scored, a walk and a double against Detroit in a 10-4 win Thursday.

Diaz kicked off the scoring in the victory with a 414-foot foot solo blast in the second inning. It was the second consecutive contest with a long ball for the veteran catcher, who had previously gone 18 games without a homer since joining Texas on June 5. Diaz worked as the Rangers' DH on Thursday, and he seems to be gaining traction as a regular in the lineup. He's started five of Texas' past six games, with four of those starts coming behind the plate.

Fermin was removed from Thursday's game against the Dodgers in the fifth inning after taking a foul tip off the mask, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Fermin spent time on the 7-day IL last month after he was concussed when a warmup pitch struck him in his mask, and it appears he'll now re-enter the concussion protocol. Prior to exiting Thursday, Fermin went 1-for-2 with a double. Rodolfo Duran replaced him at catcher.
